Who knew that a tweet about a soap opera and a Grammy-winning singer was the new résumé? Well, it is 2020. But it worked for Another World and 227 alum Jackée, who is now the newest member of the Days of our Lives family.
It looks like someone new is moving into 227 Salem Place. Actually, we don't know the address -- and we're not even sure that's actually a real address. What we do know, however, is that Another World alum Jacke Harry is joining the cast of Days of our Lives.
Harry made the announcement on NBC's Today with Hoda and Jenna and previewed that she'll be playing a "fabulous woman."
"You know, I am playing a fabulous woman, you know that," Harry enthused. Asked to preview what this character might be up to, Harry initially warned that she didn't want to give away any storyline details.

Later in the interview, Harry did offer a tease.
"So I don't want to give away the storyline. But I have a daughter, and you know it ain't nothing but trouble in river city! So, you know...but I'm told I'll be fabulous!"
Harry also praised the NBC soap's efforts to become more inclusive, touting that her character will be involved in "a brand-new storyline with African Americans, and they've been at the forefront of hiring minorities. They have a lot of diversity on Days of our Lives."
Harry's addition to the DAYS cast comes nearly a year after what seemed then like a throwaway tweet.
"Has Bonnie Raitt been moonlighting as Maggie from Days of our Lives for the past 20 years?" Harry tweeted.
Days of our Lives head writer Ron Carlivati quickly got wind of the joke and replied, "No, Bonnie is obviously Maggie's evil twin. The real question is, when is Sandra Clark going to come visit Salem?"
Harry is perhaps best known for her role as Sandra Clark on 227, a role that made her the first -- and still the only -- African American actress to win an Emmy in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy category. Harry went on to find even more fans as Lisa Landry on Sister, Sister. She kicked off her career as Another World's Lily in 1983, and the accomplished actress still remembers her first lines from the beloved soap. Check out the clip below to hear her deliver those lines and reminisce about her life and career. If you're only interested in the soap part of the interview, that starts at the four-minute mark.
