Fans who love watching Paul Telfer in the role of Days of our Lives' Xander Kiriakis will be happy to hear that he's been cast in an exciting new project: a star-studded audio film called Unsinkable.
"Very, very excited to be joining THIS CAST!" Telfer shares of the project, which also features John Malkovich, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Brian Cox, and Harry Hamlin, the real-life husband of DAYS alum Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed).

Unsinkable is unusual in that it is a film that will be audio only and available in eleven episodes. However, the movie will mirror the production style of a cinematic film and will provide an immersive blockbuster audio experience through sound. It is being presented in this way to honor the time period it follows. Unsinkable is about an extraordinary maritime event during World War II, in which the cargo ship San Demetrio was severely damaged in battle, abandoned by its crewmembers, and then later retrieved.
Says Cox, who's known for his role on HBO's Succession, "Suddenly radio has come back with a vengeance during this time, podcasts are very popular... I think it's great that COVID has rediscovered [it]."
Malkovich also loves that Unsinkable is being done as an audio film. "Personally, I love that experience," the In the Line of Fire actor says, adding that the characters in the story go through the "most unimaginably horrific circumstances and they just keep going."
Adds Brodie-Sangster, who's known for The Queen's Gambit, "I don't think I've ever done anything on this scale before. The script and the story is such a high level... it's a great way of portraying a story."
Telfer took on the role of DAYS' Xander in 2015. Some of his other credits include the series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Windsors, Once Upon a Time, NCIS, and Hotel Babylon. His film credits include Green Rush, The Thin Line, and Son of Morning.
