Could fan favorite actor A Martinez be stepping back into the shoes of Days of our Lives' Eduardo Hernandez?
Soap opera fans across the nation are doing a happy dance because it seems beloved actor A Martinez may be reprising his role as Days of our Lives' Eduardo Hernandez!
Soaps reports that the fan favorite performer is on his way back to Salem -- though additional details remain scarce.
Martinez, who joined DAYS in 2015, last appeared on the NBC soap opera in April 2017. As fans may recall, Eduardo was sent to prison in Chicago -- but he can always be let out! In fact, just last year, Martinez told Soap Central, "I don't know if that's irrational or not, but I do expect that at some point in time, they will decide to bring Eduardo out of prison. [The character's] children are still there, and there is that relationship [between Eduardo and Lauren Koslow's Kate] there, so we could see what's going on with that. I'm very open to it. I love working in daytime."

Time will tell if Eduardo is indeed on his way back to Salem and, if so, what brings him back to the canvas. However, seeing as how he's the father of Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), the latter of whom is expected to leave Salem in the coming months, it's possible his return could be tied to Rafe's exit storyline.
In addition to his DAYS role, Martinez is known for playing Dr. Ramon Montgomery on The Bold and the Beautiful, Ray Montez on One Life to Live, Roy DiLucca on General Hospital, and Cruz Castillo on Santa Barbara.
