In an amusing revolving door situation, actress Marci Miller is said to be once again taking over for Kate Mansi in the role of Days of our Lives' Abigail Deveraux.
A little Abigail dance seems to be taking place at Days of our Lives between actresses Kate Mansi and Marci Miller. The latter is reportedly reprising her role as Jack and Jennifer's daughter, with Mansi having exited the role in May.
Miller previously played Abigail from 2016 to 2018 after Mansi, who'd played the role from 2011 to 2016, decided to take her career in a different direction. When Miller unexpectedly vacated the role in 2018, Mansi returned for a brief stint to wrap up the character's storyline. She stepped back into the shoes of the character again for a 2019 limited series on the DOOL App that showed Abby and Chad's (Billy Flynn) life in Paris, and when the online series ended, Chad and Abby returned to Salem. Mansi played the character until May, at which point Abigail left town to seek treatment for hallucinations.

There's no word yet on when Miller will step back into the role of Abigail, but DAYS actors Lamon Archey (Eli Grant) and Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) leaked news of her return today, which means it's likely just around the corner.
"Marci Miller! That's it. That's the tweet," Archey teased, to which Flynn replied with a cheeky, "You already know."
Both Mansi and Miller have been nominated for Daytime Emmys for their work as Abigail, and in 2019, they were nominated at the same time -- Miller in the Outstanding Lead Actress category and Mansi in the Outstanding Guest Performer category. Mansi previously won the Emmy in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category for her work as Abigail in 2017.
