Allie Horton returns to Days of our Lives as "mini-Sami"

Watch out Salemites, because Lucas and Sami's daughter, Allie Horton, has been SORAS'd and is reportedly returning to Days of our Lives this summer!

Everyone in Days of our Lives' Salem is in for a big surprise in the weeks ahead! A grown-up Allie Horton will shock everyone when she shows up just as Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) are set for their happily ever after.

According to a Summer Preview in Soap Opera Digest, Allie will soon be returning from Europe with a whopper of a secret that she can't wait to get off her chest.

Says the show's head writer, Ron Carlivati, "She's got a secret that she ends up confiding in Eric and Nicole, but something she doesn't want her parents to know. It's a really fun reintroduction for the character."

The writer also teases that fans better prepare themselves for a shakeup, because Allie is a lot like her mother. "We kind of thought of her in some ways as a mini-Sami, as someone that will come in and shake things up," Carlivati teases, adding that the character will also pull Lucas (Galen Gering), Sonny (Freddie Smith), and Will (Chandler Massey) into her upcoming story.

As Soap Central previously reported, Alison Sweeney will also be back in Salem this August. The actress teased over the winter that she was just one of many "familiar faces coming back," and she can't wait for fans to "see how it unfolds."

Allie Horton was portrayed by Carolyn Rose and Campbell Rose from 2009 to 2014. At this time, DAYS hasn't revealed who will be playing the adult version of Allie Horton when she returns to Salem. Keep checking back to Soap Central for updates as they come.
