Brandon Brash opens up about his new Days of our Lives character and hints that Jake Lambert is "not very similar" to Stefan DiMera. In fact, he says, "I think those two characters are very black and white."
There's a big mystery brewing in Days of our Lives' Salem, and it's driving viewers absolutely bonkers. Is sexy new mechanic Jake Lambert actually Stefan DiMera in disguise? Or Stefan DiMera brainwashed? Or Stefan DiMera with amnesia? Or Stefan DiMera's twin? The list goes on, and it's anyone's guess -- but portrayer Brandon Barash may have just shed some light on the perplexing question.

When asked by Soaps about whether or not Jake and Stefan are the same person, he points out that the two are nothing like each other. But he also says they're kinda like each other. Sooo... it's still anyone's guess!
"They are really not very similar. I think those two characters are very black and white. Stefan was always idealistic and down to his core -- he was this corporate raider, no BS, tough businessman, who fancied himself a family man. When it came down to it, Stefan wasn't made of the stuff to make a good family man," Barash says. "Jake wants that, but he makes bad choices. He's acting out of a good place, but makes these peripheral choices that come back to bite him in the ass. So that's a similar thing that they share -- they are both well-intentioned in their minds and can make poor decisions as a result of that."

Luckily for fans, the answer to Jake's identity is right around the corner. It's just a matter of waiting and enjoying the storyline as it plays out.
"It will be revealed who he is," Barash teases. "What I will say is my first month or two back on the canvas it's a lot of, 'Is he or isn't he [Stefan]? You may start to see Jake grapple with that a bit, too. It's a fun journey that they wrote and hats off to them for the way they did it."
