Humanitarian organization INARA has named Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton, Days of our Lives; ex-Caroline Spencer, The Bold and the Beautiful) as its newest celebrity ambassador.
Days of our Lives' Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton) has just signed on to one of her most important roles yet: that of ambassador for INARA, where she will be promoting the organization's work with Syrian refugee children and making the most of her voice to raise vital awareness and funding.
According to an official release about Godfrey's position, INARA provides life-altering medical care for children from conflict areas who have catastrophic injuries or illnesses and are unable to access treatment due to war.
Says Godfrey of her new role as an INARA ambassador, "As a mother, future step mom and aunt, I love all my kids. I would do anything for them. Children should be allowed to live their lives and be children without bothering with the destructive and dangerous acts of men. I am so honored to be joining an organization that is dedicated to making a true difference in the lives of these children and their families."

In addition to Godfrey, INARA has also recruited Arrested Development star Alia Shawkat as an ambassador.
Says INARA cofounder, Arwa Damon, "I am thrilled that these two incredibly talented actors will be lending their voices to boost awareness about our work. I was recently in Syria. The war is ongoing. Children wounded over the last few years are not getting the medical treatment they need to overcome their injuries. We can only do our work with the help of others, but funding is increasingly hard to come by. Donations at this time are crucial."

As Godfrey's fans know, INARA isn't the only nonprofit organization that the actress has supported. A cancer survivor, she has previously worked with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She also advocates for reproductive rights, reproductive healthcare, and gender equality through her work with NARAL.
