The holidays are set to be extra charming this year because Days of our Lives' Charles Shaughnessy (ex-Shane Donovan) is bringing fans a heartwarming film titled Christmas With a Prince -- Becoming Royal.
The holidays are right around the corner, and so is a charming new film that stars Days of our Lives alum Charles Shaughnessy (ex-Shane Donovan). The movie is titled Christmas With a Prince -- Becoming Royal, which is -- you guessed it -- a sequel to last year's Christmas With a Prince.
Shaughnessy is set to reprise the role of King Edward in the film that follows pediatrician Tasha Mason (Kaitlyn Leeb) on her journey to meet up with Prince Alexander (Nick Hounslow) in St. Savarre. Though Christmas is usually a happy time, the season proves to be stressful as a treaty is negotiated between the Prince's country, St. Savarre, and Vandelien. When Tasha arrives, Alex completely surprises her by asking her to marry him. Tasha accepts, and they begin planning their wedding. However, when Princess Miranda (Anastasia Marinina) finds out, she concocts a plan to halt the fairytale wedding. Will Miranda succeed, or will Tasha have her happily ever after with Prince Alexander?

Christmas With a Prince -- Becoming Royal also star Liliana Komorowska (ex-Daphne Grimaldi, Another World) as Edward's wife, Queen Olivia.
Charles Shaughnessy played the role of DAYS' Shane on-again, off-again from 1984 to his most recent appearance in 2017. He is best known for playing the role of Maxwell Sheffield in the 1990s sitcom The Nanny, which is rumored to be getting a reboot.
