The curtain is falling for Days of our Lives star Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane), who reveals she is leaving the NBC soap opera.
Days of our Lives fans are reeling from Nadia Bjorlin's latest social media post. The actress, who has played the role of Chloe Lane on-again, off-again since 1999, has announced that she is departing the NBC series.
It's unclear whether or not the decision to cut Chloe from the canvas was made by the powers that be or if the actress herself chose to walk away from the role. Her message simply states that the curtain is falling on her 19 years in Salem.
"Oh, I nearly made it as a master of soaps... #sandymeisner #19years#dool," she shared on Instagram. "Thank you @nbcdays for the memories. #andthecurtainfalls #farewell"

Bjorlin returned to DAYS in 2015 and has been on contract with the soap opera since that time. She's had a wealth of story in the past three years, but viewers did notice that her storyline potential began to dwindle after the show fired Bryan Dattilo, leading Chloe's beau Lucas to dump her and leave town. The character has since settled a custody dispute with Eric (Greg Vaughan), but it seems the writers haven't known what else to do with Chloe now that Lucas is gone.
As soon as Bjorlin shared her exit news, fans immediately began expressing their displeasure, with one asking whether or not there is any hope in the future for another return. After all, this isn't the first time viewers have had to say goodbye to Chloe, who has come and gone many times in the last two decades. "Never say never," Bjorlin wrote in response.
While Bjorlin's departure news is a shocker in itself, rumor has it DAYS fans may need to prepare for more tough exits in the near future. While DAYS' recent renewal news was great for the show, the mandated budget cuts that came along with the renewal are rumored to be the cause of cast cuts that include Bjorlin as well as Kyle Lowder (Rex Brady), Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera), and Lucas Adams (Tripp Dalton).
At this time, DAYS has not commented on Bjorlin's status, nor has it made any comment regarding the status of Lowder, Flynn, and Adams. Keep checking back to Soap Central for updates as they come.
