Marci Miller has taped her final episode of Days of our Lives. The actress took over the role of Abigail Deveraux in 2016.

Marci Miller (Abigail Deveraux) has wrapped up her run on Days of our Lives. The actress stunned fans earlier this month when she announced that she would be exiting the NBC soap when her contract expired.

"And just like that, 2 very meaningful years have come and gone," Miller shared in a post on Instagram. "I have been loved so well today. I will miss this cast. I will miss these people. I will miss this place. I am both heavy and light at the same time. Much love to all, you have left just the sweetest impression on me.

Miller took over the role of Abigail from Kate Mansi in 2016. In perhaps an ironic twist, Mansi will reprise the role once Miller takes her final bow.

Miller received a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Lead Actress category this year.

Miller's final tape date of May 25 means that fans will still be seeing her on-screen for some time to come. DAYS typically tapes episodes about five to six months before they show up on the air. That means that Miller will more than likely continue to appear through the fall, with Mansi appearing shortly thereafter.

What do you think about Marci Miller exiting DAYS? Would you like to see the character stick around longer when Kate Mansi returns?
