Days of our Lives' Kyler Pettis (Theo Carver) shares a goodbye message with his Salem fans.
Kyler Pettis last aired as Days of our Lives' Theo Carver this week and took to social media during the tough time to share a special farewell with fans.
"I am so filled with emotion after watching the final scenes I was able to play as Theo Carver," he posted on Twitter. "I want to take this time to thank everyone at DAYS for opening up the door to some amazing, embarrassing, and hard work that I was able to experience being on set with some of the hardest working actors in the business. I want to thank all the fans that have shown me love, especially the acknowledgement if the honest portrayal I worked hard on as a young adult on the autistic spectrum. I was honored to represent you and your approval of me means more than you know."
He continues: "Lastly, I'd like to thank the man Theo himself for showing me that no matter what life throws at you, your heart and spirit are the strongest tool we have on this journey called life. I thank you. I love you. Goodnight!"

Fans aren't the only ones upset about Pettis' exit from Salem. His costar Sal Stowers (Lani Price) spoke with Soap Opera Digest about how devastating it was to say goodbye to her on-screen sibling.
"Lani and Theo built a very close bond and in real life, I adore Kyler so much," she shared. "We started at the same time and I watched him kind of grow up a little bit. He was just always so pleasant to work with. We look like a real brother and sister, which is crazy, and we got along so well, which made it really easy to work with him. I remember our first episode together. Even though we both didn't know what we were doing because we were still so new on the show, it was just a really sweet, innocent scene, two characters finding their love for each other because they just found out they're brother and sister. So we kind of grew together on the show and off the show."
Pettis joined DAYS as Abe and Lexie's SORAS'd autistic son in 2015. News of the actor's exit broke in August last year.
