Late soap star Patricia Barry's LA estate sells for $10.3 million

The Brentwood home of late soap opera star Patricia Barry (DAYS, AMC, and GL) has pulled in a cool $10.3 million.

The Brentwood, California, estate that late soap opera star Patricia Barry (ex-Addie Horton, Days of our Lives; ex-Peg English, All My Children; ex-Miss Sally, Guiding Light) called home for nearly a half a century has sold for an impressive $10.3 million.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Barry, who died last October at the age of 93, bought the two-story Southern Colonial-style home for just $111,700 in 1969.

The Iowa native found fame in the 1940s when Warner Bros. offered her a contract after she won a Rita Hayworth look-alike contest. She went on to star in the soap operas listed above as well as many classic films and beloved primetime series.
