DAYS casting two new work-related roles

Days of our Lives is on the hunt for two actors to play working characters in Salem.

If Days of our Lives' Salem hosts a career day, then two upcoming characters will fit the bill.

Soap Opera Digest reports the NBC soap has put out a casting call for a 50- to 60-year-old "distinguished man" of any ethnicity to play Helms, an upscale banker.

The series is also looking for an African American man of the same age to play a hospital administrator.

No other information about the roles has been released, including how the two characters will fit onto the canvas and how long each might stick around. It is, however, some of the first casting that has happened since former General Hospital head writer Ron Carlivati took over writing duties at the NBC soap.
