Former The Young and the Restless star Lamon Archey (ex-Mason Wilder) has reportedly been cast in the role of Valerie's son, Eli, on Days of our Lives.
Days of our Lives has been tweaking its young adult cast for the past several months, and it looks like the NBC soap has found the right actor to take the teen set in a whole new direction.
According to several sources, the soap has cast former The Young and the Restless star Lamon Archey (ex-Mason Wilder) in the role of Valerie Grant's (Vanessa Williams) son, Eli.
The original casting call for the character went out in July under the fake name Levi, who was described as a funny, quick-witted, protective, intelligent dream man.

As for what else Eli will bring to the canvas, Soap Central previously reported the character is rumored to have ties to the Horton family, which has spurred fans into thinking that perhaps Eli was fathered by Valerie's ex-lover, David Banning (Julie Williams' son, last played by actor Greg Marx). Eli is also rumored to connect with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus), which should make his arrival in Salem an exciting one.
Keen fans will remember that this isn't the first time Archey has been on DAYS. He recurred as a Centerville cop from 2011 to 2013.
A rep for DAYS has yet to comment on whether or not Archey will indeed be heading to Salem, but rumor has it the actor will debut as Eli in early 2017.
