Days of our Lives fans who were looking forward to another Philip/Chloe romance are out of luck, because the NBC soap has let John-Paul Lavoisier go.
Yet another Days of our Lives actor is headed out of Salem.
John-Paul Lavoisier, who took over the character of Philip Kiriakis just last year, has been let go from the NBC series, Soap Opera Digest reports.
Lavoisier, who became a fan-favorite actor via his portrayal of One Life to Live's Rex Balsom, is the fifth actor to take on the Salemite since the character's debut in 1995. Just last month, the actor revealed to Soap Central that Philip will be involved in a romance with his ex Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) later this summer. But it looks like the former pair's renewed flames will fizzle shortly after, considering Lavoisier's impending departure.
There's no word yet on how Philip will leave the canvas or if the character will be recast, but Lavoisier finishes taping this month and will last air later this winter.
What do you think about DAYS' decision to let Lavoisier go? Did you enjoy his version of Philip? Are you hoping the character is recast?
