Sony TV and DAYS/Y&R exec Steve Mosko exits

Sony Pictures Television Chairman Steve Mosko, who was tasked with overseeing two soaps, is stepping down after 24 years with the company.

Longtime Sony Pictures Television Chairman Steve Mosko, who also oversees NBC's Days of our Lives and CBS's The Young and the Restless, is exiting after serving 24 years at the major entertainment company.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Mosko will be parting ways with the company due to a reported disagreement on terms. At this time, it's unclear who will be taking his place.

The news of Mosko's exit may concern many DAYS fans, who are already worried about the fate of the soap due to low ratings and exits from popular stars like Kate Mansi (Abigail Deveraux) and Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan). However, as previously reported, the series has been renewed for a 51st season.

UPDATELess than a week after changes at Sony, The Young and the Restless made a significant change of its own: the showed fired and replaced its executive producer. You can read more on that here.
