Kate Mansi to make final DAYS appearance this month

It's an event that has been five months in the making. Kate Mansi, who confirmed in January that she would be exiting Days of our Lives, will make her final appearance on the NBC soap this month.

Fans have known since early January that Kate Mansi (Abigail Deveraux) would be exiting Days of our Lives. But due to the show's frenetic production schedule, it meant that there would still be many more days and weeks and months of seeing Mansi on-screen.

Unfortunately, reality is now about to set in. Mansi took to social media to let fans know that her final DAYS appearance will come later this month.

"Tomorrow is June 1st which officially kicks off the countdown to my last episode on Days of Our Lives: June 24th," Mansi shared in a post on Instagram yesterday. "Stay tuned to my social accounts along the way -- I'll be sharing some special posts and creative opportunities I have planned as a way to celebrate our journey and take us to the finish line together. Here we go!! XO"

Mansi previously took to Instagram to confirm the news that she had made the decision to exit DAYS after more than five years with the NBC soap.

"After much thought, I've decided the timing was right for me to set sail from Salem," Mansi shared at the time. "I am grateful beyond measure to the DOOL family, which I feel extends beyond our set, to you, the amazing, and unwavering fans."

With Mansi's exit upon us, DAYS fans are again going through a similar grieving process with another young actress: Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan) has also made the decision to leave the show.
