The latest news about Days of our Lives is sure to make more than a few fans smile. Charles Shaughnessy and Patsy Pease are rumored to be returning as Shane and Kimberly Donovan.

In a tweet that has since been taken down, Larry Poindexter (Father Louis) tagged the actors with Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady) and Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) along with the quote, "What a blast."
Fans immediately began speculating that Poindexter's tweet means Theresa's (Jen Lilley) parents are back in Salem. If it's true, the two would be seen later this fall due to the NBC show's production schedule. As fans may recall, Shaughnessy was last seen in Salem in 2013, while Pease returned to the canvas for a short spell in 2015.

The reason, it now appears, for their return is because Jen Lilley has announced that she is exiting the show.
A rep for DAYS has yet to respond to Soap Central's request for comment, so stay tuned as more details develop.
