Just like everybody else, longtime Days of our Lives star Deidre Hall has an opinion about the on-screen death of Guy Wilson's Will.
Days of our Lives' controversial decision to kill off legacy character Will Horton (played by Guy Wilson) has sent shockwaves throughout the soap opera community. Many fans, viewers, and journalists have shared their passionate opinions about Sami's son getting brutally slain by the Necktie Killer just over a year after his historic marriage to Freddie Smith's Sonny (the first male-male wedding shown on daytime) -- and so close to National Coming Out Day, no less. One Soap Central Two Scoops columnist also shared her opinion on the jaw-dropping decision, and now it's time to hear what longtime DAYS star Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) has to say about the death of her on-screen grandson.
"It was very difficult to see the killing of Will on air," the actress wrote on Facebook. "We all stood paralyzed and fixed on the screen in the make up room. Guy was terrific in his portrayal. Seeing the show on air brought back the terrible sadness we all felt when the scenes were being shot. I have seen him a number of times since he left and am happy to say he is doing well."
Wilson took over the role of Lucas and Sami's son in January of 2014 as a rushed recast for Chandler Massey, a fan favorite who won three Emmys during his four-year portrayal of the character before deciding to step away from the show in early 2014.
