Alison Sweeney will no longer serve as host of the long-running NBC reality series The Biggest Loser.
Days of our Lives favorite Alison Sweeney (Samantha Brady) is exiting her role as host of The Biggest Loser.
"After an incredible run together, Alison Sweeney will not be returning as host of The Biggest Loser next season," producers of the show said in a statement that was first reported by Access Hollywood.
Sweeney was tapped as the host of the NBC weight loss competition back in 2007, taking over duties from comedienne Caroline Rhea.
This spring, Sweeney confirmed that she'd be returning to Days of our Lives for the show's 50th anniversary. Sweeney made her first appearance as Sami on January 6, 1993.
The Biggest Loser will begin shooting its 17th season in September. There's no word yet on who will be the series' new host.
