Veteran character actor Tony Longo, who had roles on both Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless, has passed away.
Tony Longo, a longtime character actor who had roles as Days of our Lives' Carmine and The Young and the Restless' Ray, died in his sleep at his home in Marina del Rey, CA. He was 53.
The New York native, whose large physic landed him "tough guy" roles in both film and television, was known for a slew of projects, including Mulholland Drive, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Eraser, The Last Boy Scout and 16 Candles.
Daytime fans probably recognize Longo from his role as Y&R's private investigator, Ray -- a role he played from 1999 to 2006. The actor also played the DiMera family's henchman, Carmine, on DAYS from 2007 to 2008.
