The Days of our Lives homecoming celebration continues. Jason Cook will reprise the role of Shawn-Douglas Brady, a role he played for seven years.
The parade of returning favorites continues: Jason Cook will return to Days of our Lives in conjunction with the show's upcoming 50th anniversary.
Cook portrayed Shawn-Douglas Brady, the son of Bo Brady and Hope, from 1999 to September 2006. During his stint, he received four consecutive Daytime Emmy pre-nominations.
After leaving DAYS, Cook appeared as General Hospital's Matthew Hunter from 2008 to 2012.

Soap Opera Digest reports that Cook is already back taping episodes at DAYS, which would make sense, since DAYS tapes episodes many months ahead of their airdate.
News of Cook's return comes two weeks after a casting call for the role of "Claire" stirred up conversation that the casting call might be for Shawn's on-screen daughter. With Cook back, will Martha Madison's Belle Black be joining him? So far, despite quite vocal fan support, there hasn't been any official confirmation from NBC.
