Melissa Archer joined the cast of NBC's Days of our Lives last summer but didn't make her first air date until December 2014. Now comes word that the actress has been let go as Serena Mason.
Though the network hasn't made an official statement, a published report states that Melissa Archer's (Serena Mason) days at DAYS have come to an end.
Daytime Confidential reports that "the decision to cut Archer came before the installment of a new creative regime at DAYS; so no need to blame Dena Higley and Josh Griffith for the popular One Life to Live veteran's upcoming exit."The Dallas, Texas, native made her daytime debut as One Life to Live's Natalie Buchanan in July 2001. She remained with the show through its 2012 series finale on ABC and later reprised the role for Prospect Park's online reboot in 2013.
She made her first DAYS appearance on December 5, 2014.With DAYS' speedy production schedule, Archer should air through the spring.
