DAYS' Freddie Smith appeared in court today to hear a judge's take on his October 2014 car crash.
Days of our Lives' Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) appeared in an Ohio courtroom today for sentencing for the October 7 car accident that left both him and his girlfriend, Alyssa Tabit, injured.
The actor, who pled guilty to a first degree misdemeanor (operating a vehicle while under the influence) and a fourth degree felony (vehicular assault) in December, was sentenced to three days in jail and community service, though the jail time will be suspended if he completes a DUI school, according to Ohio reporter Scott Taylor. The punishment isn't so severe, considering he could have been sentenced with up to two years in prison.
"This is more than a life lesson," Smith reportedly said in court. "I am grateful Alyssa and I are alive."
