Three-time Daytime Emmy nominee Peggy McCay (Caroline Brady) has been hospitalized following a fall.
Long-time Days of our Lives favorite Peggy McCay (Caroline Brady) has been hospitalized after an accident on the DAYS set.
"Darling Peggy McCay took a fall on set Monday and was hospitalized," Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) wrote on Facebook. "I'm happy to say, she is recovering and in good spirits. Please send thoughts her way."
McCay debuted on Days of our Lives in 1983, but the actress jokingly told Soap Central that her 30-plus years with the show isn't quite what it seems.
"I have to interject that that 30 years has been interrupted by death, voodoo death, and a few other things -- long absences, et cetera," Peggy said in a 2012 appearance on the Soap Central Live Internet radio program. "However, I can only say that I am blessed to be on this show at this stage in my life, and I love the people I've worked with, and right now, I couldn't be happier because I have a very strong storyline which matters a great deal to me. And I'm blessed, I know I am, among actors in this whole country, to have a job that I'm going to and I love doing."
McCay is a three-time Daytime Emmy nominee -- Outstanding Supporting Actress nods in 1986 and 1987, and a 2013 Lead Actress nomination.
