Days of our Lives has put out casting notices for two roles -- one nice and the other, well, not so nice.
Days of our Lives is looking to cast two new roles -- one menacing and the other sweet and outgoing.
The first role DAYS is seeking to fill is a character going by the name of "Mandrake." The 40-to-55-year-old male is described as a "threatening dangerous professional looking male" and actors of all ethnicities will be considered. The casting call notes that the character is "not a thug type" and that actors must be at least 6'0" to be considered.
Mandrake will be a principal role and appear in a four-show story arc.
On the softer side of casting, DAYS is also looking for a 19-to-21-year-old actress for the role of "Daphne." The character is a college freshman who is "[f]riendly, outgoing, sweet, gorgeous [...] and a very good friend to those she holds close." The role is recurring and actresses of all ethnicities are invited to submit for the role.
There's no word on when these characters will pop up, but with DAYS' production schedule, the character might not appear on-screen until mid-to-late fall.
