Days of our Lives marks its 48th anniversary on Friday, November 8, and the NBC soap is planning a celebration -- and fans are invited to join in on social media or in person at the annual Day of DAYS fan event.
Days of our Lives will mark its 48th anniversary on Friday, November 8, and the NBC soap is heading to social media to make sure that fans can participate in the celebration.
Beginning Friday, November 8, at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific, DAYS will be sending out pictures, videos, and other behind-the-scenes goodies from their Twitter accounts. All fans have to do is follow @NBCDays and @DaysofourLives to be in on the action.

The celebration will continue this weekend and fans will also have a chance to meet their favorite stars in person at the annual Day of DAYS fan event. This year's event will be held Saturday, November 9, from 10am to 5pm PT at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles. This is a free event, and DAYS fans have the chance to meet and greet Salem's favorite cast members during autograph signings, a Q&A session, a trivia challenge, and much more.
Created by Ted and Betty Corday, Days of our Lives aired its first episode on November 8, 1965. The show has been renewed through September 2014.
