Jaime Lyn Bauer returns to DAYS

Days of our Lives is welcoming back a fan favorite for a short-term run. Jaime Lyn Bauer will reprise her role as Laura Horton.

Jaime Lyn Bauer (Laura Horton) is headed back to Days of our Lives.

Soap Opera Digest reports that Bauer will appear in two episodes set to air during the week of April 8. Bauer's alter ego returns to Salem to help her daughter, Jennifer.

Bauer assumed the role of Laura Horton in 1993, and enjoyed a seven-year run with the NBC soap. She has also made guest appearances in 2003 and 2010.

"I'd love to come back. I like the pace and the people," Bauer told Digest. "I felt very welcomed and appreciated. Everyone was exceedingly kind."
