Warlock will take over the role of Ross Rayburn, a role most recently played by Michael Lowry. Lowry wanted to reprise his role, but he was unavailable to do so. The actor is currently enrolled in law school, and his course schedule conflicts with One Life to Live's taping schedule. Rather than have Lowry appear in a few episodes and then recast the role, One Life to Live execs decide that it would be best to recast the role entirely.
As a result, Warlock reported to One Life to Live on July 19 for his first day of taping -- with little advance notice. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Warlock stated, "I literally got a call at line 3:30 in the afternoon saying, 'Do you want to do it and can you be here in an hour?'"

Warlock has appeared on five different daytime drama series. He began his daytime career as Ricky Driscoll on Capitol in 1984. Two years later, the actor began a run on NBC's Days of our Lives as Frankie Brady. In 1988, his work on DAYS earned him a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Younger Leading Man category.
In 1997, Warlock took on the role of AJ Quartermaine on ABC's General Hospital. He remained with the show for six years, his longest run of any of his soap stops. The actor also made occasional appearances as Ben Hollander on CBS's The Young and the Restless in 2007 and 2008. Most recently, Warlock appeared as Anthony Blackthorn on As the World Turns.
Warlock is married to Emmy-winning soap vet Julie Pinson.
It is unclear at this time exactly how long Warlock will be sticking around in Llanview.
