Tamara Braun (Ava, Days of our Lives; ex-Carly Corinthos, General Hospital) co-stars with Johnathon Schaech and Fred Koehler in the independent film Little Chenier, now in limited release across the country.
Little Chenier is the story of Beaux Dupuis (Schaech) and his mentally handicapped brother, Pemon (Koehler), as they try to make ends meet at their local bait shop. The two live a simple life until Pemon is accused of a crime in the town and Beaux must protect his brother against all odds. The story layers as the plot unfolds - an undying fascination with a mother the two brothers haven't seen in twenty years, an alcoholic father whose disdain for his own sons is unyielding, and a bitter deputy married to Beaux's one great love.
Braun will also appear in the film Limbo Lounge due out later this year.
Little Chenier is currently being shown in theaters in the Gulf Coast region. This month the movie will be added to theaters in Austin, TX; Atlanta; Pensacola, FL; and Houston. In March, theaters in New York and Los Angeles will begin showing the film.
31 days after filming of the movie was complete, Hurricane Rita destroyed the town of Little Chenier. In an effort to give back to those affected, a portion of the box office profits will be donated to charity.
The movie will also be available on DVD beginning July 8th via online retailers, including Amazon.com
