By uniting and separating and once again uniting on several occasions, the couple has called for quite a few entertaining storylines on The Bold and The Beautiful.
Katie Logan was an otherwise uninteresting character throughout the first two decades of the show until 2007 when things started to look up for her on the show. This was the first time that her life became eventful, after she had a heart transplant and even miscarried the baby she had with Nick Marone.
She then developed a habit for heavy drinking before she met the charismatic Bill Spencer, who was the son of Bill Spencer Sr.
Bill and Katie hit it off right away, with Bill making Katie the CEO of Forrester Creations. They were married in a grand ceremony under the auspices of Katie's childhood home. However, Steffy Forrester didn't take it too kindly when Bill took her company away from her family and put it into his own hands.
Steffy Forrester made a devious scheme to seduce Bill and blackmail Katie. The company was eventually returned to her family. Katie then became pregnant and after an excruciating labour, she somehow survived and gave birth to her and Bill's son Will. Suffering from severe postpartum depression, Katie almost drove Bill to develop a relationship with her sister Brooke.
Bill and Brooke now developed feelings for each other and were caught in the act one day by Katie. Taking to the bottle once again, Katie tried her best to drink her sorrows away. She eventually tried to make a new life after divorcing Bill and starting an affair with Will, but neither lasted long enough.
Katie once again united with Bill after she was briefly married to Thorne Forrester.
