5) Shot by Ian Howard (2025)

From attempts to kill him in the prison in 2016 to the bid to burn down the whole of Newman's wealth, he has seen it all. However, Victor always came back alive despite several attempts on him in The Young and The Restless.

In January 2025, Ian again tried to kill Victor by snatching a gun from a security person’s holster and shooting him in the arm. As he threatened everyone not to call the ambulance, Victor attacked Ian, which resulted in the gun going off, resulting in Ian being shot in the stomach. While the ambulance was called, Victor suffered from extensive blood loss and was in a poor condition.

However, Victor survived the attack as always.

4) Attacked by Rick Daros (1984)

In 1984, Nikki was involved with a man named Rick Daros in The Young and The Restless. Rick was planning to kill Nikki just like how he killed his wife, Melissa Daros.

He takes her to scuba diving at gunpoint and pushes her in the water. However, she is saved after Payl, Andy, and Victor. As Victor helps her out of the water, he is attacked by Rick, who shoots him with a spear gun and hurts him badly.

3) Shot by Mary Jo Mason (1996)

Mary Jo Mason was struggling with mental disorders and got involved with Jack in The Young and The Restless. After Jack Abbott's wife, Luan, died, Mary became close to him and helped him get over the grief. In the process, she became obsessed with him.

She later shoots Victor to save herself, as her ex, Keemo, had sent a fax detailing her wrongful deeds. She thought Victor might have the faxed document, and if he showed it to Jack Abbott, their relationship would end. However, Victor survives the attack, just like several other times he had survived gunshot wounds.

2) Victor was shot in the heart and received a heart transplant (2009)

In 2009, Victor went to help Jack in rescuing Colleen Carlton, who was held hostage by Patty Williams.

However, Patty shot at Victor’s chest three times, resulting in Victor having a heart failure. Collen Carlton’s heart saved Victor’s life as she was pronounced brain-dead after she fell from the canoe she used to escape from Patty.

1) Suffered from a head injury and went into a coma (2018)

Another frightening incident from The Young and the Restless in Victor Newman's life happened due to J.T. Hellstrom, in April 2018.

After finding out that J.T. was trying to bring him down and had also physically abused his daughter, Victoria, Victor confronted him and they got into a fight. That’s when J.T. pushed him off the stairs and left him unconscious. Surprisingly, it was Jack Abbott who called the ambulance after contemplating if he should let him die. Victor was in a coma for several weeks before he started to recover.

J.T. again tried to kill him by switching his life support in the hospital. However, the hospital staff was able to save him.
