1. Charity Dingle and Zoe Tate

Emmerdale has had some of the most passionate flings, and a lesbian affair is one of the most famous ones. It all started when Charity Dingle decided to cheat on Chris Tate with none other than his sister, Zoe Tate.
Initially, Zoe did not want her brother to date a Dingle as she was a former prostitute and would sully their family’s name. Zoe initially did not know about her brother’s affair, and when she did get to know, she tried to bribe Charity so that she could break up with Chris.
However, the actual reason was that Zoe had fallen for Charity herself, and Charity felt the same way. Their intense tension led to the two ladies kissing each other during an argument. The two had a passionate romance, but it was short-lived.
When Zoe started getting too obsessive over Charity, the latter decided to end their fling. The soap’s drama does not end here as Zoe recorded Charity when she was confessing to their affair and used that recording to blackmail her. However, when Charity is forced to tell Chris the truth, he forgives her for cheating.
2. Kim Tate and Dave Glover

Kim and Dave’s passionate affair was one of the most romantic affairs in Emmerdale, and it turned into tragedy. As the wife of the Tate family’s patriarch, Frank, Kim Tate was bored in her marriage and had lost all excitement for life. However, when the dashing farmhand Dave Glover arrived, he reignited her passion, and the two began a whirlwind romance.
The two’s relationship began purely as a physical attraction, and they used to spend time with each other wherever they could. From the stables of Home Farm to fancy hotels, the two were inseparable. However, the two also realized that this was more than attraction. They had fallen in love with each other.
On the other hand, Frank got suspicious and planted hidden cameras in Dave’s cottage. A further twist happened when Kim got pregnant and even though she wanted it to be Dave’s child, it turned out to be Frank’s. Their affair ended when Dave married Kathy Brookman. But because he still loved Kim, the two decided to run away together. However, their love story came to a tragic end when Dave got killed while saving Kim’s son from a fire at Home Farm, and it left Kim devastated.
3. Robert Sugden and Katie Addyman

An iconic love triangle that happened in Emmerdale was the one that revolved around Robert, Katie, and Andy. Katie was engaged to Andy, who was the adoptive brother of Robert Sugden. Robert wanted revenge on Andy because he blamed Andy for the death of their mother. He, therefore, decided to begin an affair with Katie. But the two caught feelings for each other. Their coupling was passionate and romantic. So much so that they got intimate a night before Katie’s wedding with Andy.
However, Katie did get married to Andy and tried to make her marriage work. But she could not forget Robert, and the two began seeing each other again. Andy got suspicious and discovered what was going on between the two.
Finally, he confronted Katie and Robert, and they admitted to everything. Andy wanted revenge now, and he tried to shoot Robert but ended up injuring his dad. The love story between Katie and Robert had a short, happy period as they stayed together and got engaged. However, Robert cheated on Katie with Sadie King and Katie left him and the village.
4. Lady Tara Oakwell and Biff Fowler

Another passionate couple from Emmerdale whom the audiences still remember is Tara Oakwell and Biff Fowler. Their affair began when Tara’s license ended after she was caught drunkenly driving, and she asked Biff if he could be her chauffeur. The two, therefore, began on professional terms. However, they end up having a passionate romance.
For some period of time, Tara and Biff were able to keep their affair under wraps. But their relationship soon became public knowledge. Their relationship hit a break when Tara, the lady of Home Farm, had to evict locals from their homes, and Biff was annoyed with her. He, therefore, decided to break up with Tara.
Tara seemed to move on and accepted the marriage proposal of Michael Thornfield, who was a friend of her father and a wealthy Lord. However, her feelings for Biff were still strong, and she ended up getting intimate with Biff again just before her wedding. When Tara proposed they could continue their affair after her marriage, Biff declined to be the second fiddle. Ultimately, Tara chooses Michael over Biff for money, even though her marriage is short-lived.

However, things changed when Angie found out that her husband was cheating on her, and she decided to give Cain a chance to get some revenge. The two had a short-lived romance as Angie got tired of Cain.
When Angie broke up with Cain, he decided to get revenge on her, by getting intimate with her teenage daughter. Enraged by this, Angie decides to make Cain believe she wants him back and tries to get him caught for a robbery.

The two got attracted to each other and enjoyed the thrill of keeping their forbidden affair under wraps from the village by sneaking around.
Even though Robert was married to the millionaire Chrissie White, he went to great lengths to keep his affair with Aaron under wraps. So much so that he even killed his sister-in-law, Katie Sugden, and tried to even kill off Aaron’s stepdad.
However, Aaron could not take it anymore and confessed to Chrissie, who promptly ended it with Robert. But the two could not get away from each other and their toxic love did not end. They two had a lot of make-ups and break-ups and even married each other twice. Ultimately, they had a tragic end as Robert was jailed for manslaughter, and he told Aaron to move on without him.
7. Chas Dingle and Al Chapman

Al Chapman had a notorious reputation in town, and Chas always seemed to choose the wrong type of man. Therefore, no time was lost when Chas, who previously loathed Al, soon began to lust over him. The two had a passionate affair, and Chas fell hard for Al. She even decided to leave her marriage to Paddy and run away with Al.
However, things took a turn when Chas missed her mother’s final moments because she was being intimate with Al. This proved too big of a guilt for her, and she became heartbroken.
On the other hand, Al got into an argument with Chas’s brother Cain and was shot dead. Later on, it was revealed that it was not Cain but his son, Kyle, who was the killer. Chas tried to keep lying to Paddy after Al’s death, but he came to know about her affair and divorced her. Chas was ultimately disowned by her family.
8. Debbie Dingle and Ross Barton

A mother of two, Debbie Dingle was engaged to Pete Barton. However, she fell to the charms of the enigmatic Ross Barton, who was Pete’s younger brother. Before the wedding, the two had already begun a steamy affair and even made plans to run away together.
However, Cain ruined it by revealing that Ross is the father of Debbie’s half-brother, Moses. Debbie did end up marrying Pete, even though her heart was still with Ross. On the other hand, Cain decides to kidnap Ross and stop him from revealing the affair.
In a dramatic moment, though, when Debbie and Pete were about to hit the stage for their first dance, Aaron accidentally played a recording of Ross and Debbie discussing how they would run away together. Pete decided to beat up Ross and left him in the woods.
However, Ross turned up after some time, and this time he wanted revenge on Pete and decided to kill him. But before anything could happen, Debbie realized that this environment was not safe for her children and moved away from Ross and his family.
9. Paddy Kirk and Tess Harris

Paddy Kirk, the vet, was one of the last persons anyone in the village would have thought would get into an affair. But the doctor has had a history of small-time flings. Things got serious this time when he went out for a boy’s night out and cheated on his wife with Tess Harris. Tess was also married and, awkwardly, was the teacher of Paddy’s stepson.
Even though the two regretted what had happened, they could not deny the attraction they felt for each other and began a torrid love affair. Eventually, Tess did not want to be the other woman and decided to tell Paddy’s wife, Rhona, everything. However, as most affairs in Emmerdale play out, this one also ended on a tragic note.
Tess got severely injured after getting hit by a drunken Kirin Kotecha and was found dying in the middle of the road by Paddy and Rhona. While Rhona called for an ambulance, Tess confessed her love for Paddy before dying. After Tess’s death, Paddy confessed to his wife about his affair, and Rhona found comfort in the arms of Tess’s husband, Pierce.
10. Moira Barton and Cain Dingle

Another famous pairing in Emmerdale has been Moira Barton and Cain Dingle. Moira was a married woman and had married her lover, John. However, she fell for the rugged charm of a mechanic and fell for Cain. The two began a passionate affair and could not keep their hands off of each other.
Cain was so obsessed with Moira that he even boldly confessed about their affair to her husband. This rocked the marriage of Moira with John, but the two decided to work things out. However, John was killed in a car accident. Moira began seeing Cain again, and he even proposed to her.
Moving forward, Cain had affairs with Charity and Harriet, and Moira had a fling with Nate, who turned out to be Cain’s son. This could have been the final nail in the coffin of their relationship, but the famous couple are still going strong.
