10) Leo Stark (Days of Our Lives)

Introduced to seduce Sonny to take down TITAN by Vivian, Leo (Greg Rikaart) appeared to be a charismatic character. However, his character became confusing after his comeback, as even after working with Gwen, he does not tell her about Dmitri conning her.
Later, he ends up blackmailing Sloan until she gives Nicole her baby back rather than telling her on his own. He begins doing a good thing, which ultimately takes him to a crossroads, and he ends up doing the opposite, making him one of the most confused characters in daily soaps.
9) Tara Locke (The Young and the Restless)
Although introduced with a spicy storyline, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) turned out to be one of the most confused and uninteresting characters in daily soaps.
Her affair with Kyle was an interesting plot. However, later, her issues with her husband, Ashford, and then the lukewarm scheming with Sally to break up Summers and Kyle by forcing Summers to break up with him were not dramatic enough.
8) Zoe Buckingham (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Another confused character from daily soaps is Zoe Buckingham from The Bold and the Beautiful. Introduced as Xander’s ex, Zoe’s initial plotline was not bad. However, her activities, such as threatening Emma into leaving Xander to try and get back with him, were not covert enough and were found out by Emma, Xander, Thorne, and Sally Spectra II.
Not only that, but her storyline after this never appeared to be major as she stumbled between Carter and Zende, which didn’t add anything to her character and only made her appear confused with her choices.
7) Nikolas Cassadine (General Hospital)

Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) from General Hospital also appears to be a confusing character from daily soaps. Introduced as Lucky and Lulu Spencer’s half-brother, Nikolas was loved by fans.
However, several recastings and the shift in storyline that the character went through made the character more confusing. For instance, his not being able to crack Esme’s manipulation and stroking his ego makes his character seem confused.
6) Chelsea ( The Young and The Restless)

Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) confusion is mostly due to her erratic behavior due to her mental struggles.
She has had depressive episodes and suicidal thoughts, which have made her delusional. She attempts to kill Rey and also begins having dreams about hurting other people, including Adam.
5) Abby Newman (The Young and the Restless)

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is another daily soap character who seems confusing. Her inconsistent relationships, such as with Daniel and Carmen, and her several recastings and character shifts made the character appear confusing.
Furthermore, her involvement in the Newman and Abbott families is barely seen, such as she is not seen in family meetings with the Newmans, which makes her character appear less important, which might be the reason her storyline is inconsistent and confusing.
4) Jack Abbott (The Young and the Restless)

One of the most important characters from The Young and the Restless, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergmen), has always been confused about his relationship issues.
Jack easily fell into Diane’s manipulation but then left her for Phyllis. His inability to judge a character makes him the victim of deceptions. For example, Phyllis cheats on him twice, once with Nicholas, which results in divorce. However, they reunite, and Phyllis cheats again with his half-brother, Billy.
3) Rafe Hernandez (Days of Our Lives)

Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) character has several confusing storylines that make him a confused character in daily soaps.
His romantic entanglements with Sami, Hope, and even Nicole are often conflicted. Even though he is a federal agent, he still helps in hiding Gabi’s crimes and also harms someone else and helps Hope hide that she killed Stefano DiMera. His decision to adopt EJ’s children without any proper reason also confused fans on why he was making such perplexing decisions without reason.
2) Willow (General Hospital)
Another confused character from daily soaps is Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) from General Hospital.
Her inconsistency in her relationships, such as cheating on Michael with his uncle Drew and also cheating on Chase with Michael, makes her character appear confused. Moreover, her involving her children in her affair with Drew, without informing Michael, has further sabotaged Willow’s character’s decision-making abilities.
1) Liam Spencer (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is regarded as one of the dull characters in daily soaps. His cheating and constant back-and-forth between Hope and Steffy make him appear confusing.
He is often seen being judgmental of others’ actions, such as when Thomas tried to flirt with Hope, but he ends up doing the same thing with Steffy. His infidelity and passiveness as a character are the reasons for him appearing as a confused character.
