Scooter's time on the British soap Coronation Street was short-lived but definitely memorable. Scooter's full name is Scott Timlin, and he certainly left a mark on the cobbles following his departure.

There are many reasons why Scooter made a lasting impression. Here's everything you need to know about Scott Timlin.

Who was Coronation Street character Scooter?

Scooter first arrived at Weatherfield in 2005 and was introduced as Sarah Platt's boyfriend. Played by Sushil Chudasama, Scooter's relationship with Sarah, played by Tina O'Brien, was a breath of fresh air after Sarah's tumultuous relationships and upsetting storylines involving teen pregnancy.

Scooter was known for his environmental passions, and one of his strange obsessions was "skip diving". He was often seen burrowing into big piles of trash. He would attempt to find trash that could be reused and recycled while leaving the residents of Weatherfield confused.

His relationship with Sarah Platt became a major part of Scooter's time on the cobbles. He had genuine affection and care for both Sarah and her young daughter. Scooter and Sarah's child, Bethany Platt, had a special bond despite his young age. Scooter provided Sarah with more fun, despite her controversial situation.

However, his relationship with Sarah was strained due to his unconventional way of living, and Sarah's past kept rearing its ugly head. The couple unfortunately didn't last long. Scooter left Coronation Street just ten months after his arrival in October 2005.

Fans sorely missed Scooter's comic relief from otherwise tragic and dramatic storylines. His time on the soap was definitely brief but he certainly left a lasting impression.

What happened to Sushil Chudasama?

Sushil continued acting after his brief stint on one of the most popular British soaps. His other roles were definitely more low-key and was seen in various small television roles, the theatre, and some small independent films.

His theatre work was certainly more notable and allowed him to explore a wide range of characters, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Sushil also made appearances in several British television programmes and was able to maintain an acting career despite it not being as grand as Coronation Street.

Much of what we know about his life is limited due to his personal choice to keep his private life private. He made guest appearances on TV, including Doctors and Casualty. Both of these shows are probably some of his biggest acting roles since his debut in 1999.

It's unclear whether Suhil would be willing to return to the glitz and glam of Coronation Street, but his character Scooter will always be welcomed by the huge number of British soap fans. His warm and bubbly personality will always be remembered and adored. Could his return bring Sarah some much needed comic relief or will his return only bring more drama to Weatherfield? We can only hope he returns and teaches the resident some much needed recycling tips.

Coronation Street airs on ITV and ITVX.
