In the latest episode of Coronation Street, we saw Lauren's baby boy fight for his life as Joel's twisted plans were set in motion. Beth and Betsy's mastermind plan is unravelling before their eyes. Could Weatherfield be changing forever? Or will the evil forces be captured and put away for good?

Here's everything you need to know.

Coronation Street tonight: Lauren's baby fights for his life

Joel's plan to poison Lauren's food and induce early labour worked! Now his baby is fighting for his life in an incubator and a devastated Lauren awaits any news regarding her premature baby and if he will survive.

The heartwrenching scenes of Lauren just out of reach of her baby fighting back tears was enough to move any Coronation Street fan. DS Swain arrives during Lauren's vulnerable moment, questioning her, but what could they possibly be investigating?

Hope is moving on

Hope Dobbs shockingly breaks up with Sam and shifts all of her romantic pursuits onto Jack. This unexpected turn of events was a huge surprise for those who've been following this romance. Hope reached out to a doctor to get the contraceptive pill, but left with condoms instead.

Her parents, Fiz and Tyrone, are unaware of Hope's plans and this could lead to uncomfortable conversations involving teen relationships and the impact they can have.

Beth's T-shirt scam

Beth threatens Joel and warns him he owes her, but how will she call in her favour? Beth managed to catch up with the counterfeit merchandise and t-shirts, but as she hands over the cash, it appears she's not alone. Craig and Kit approach Beth and demand to know what's going on. Will Beth confess to her crimes or run away?

Mason refuses help

Mason is homeless and it appears his stubbornness could be his downfall. Stu offered Mason a place to stay but he refused. The fact Mason chose to stay on the streets baffled many viewers last night and it's left everyone wondering what his plan is for the future.

What else?

Fiz was left reeling from the sudden reappearance of Tyrone's ex, Alina Pop, which promised to stir old tensions. Stu Carpenter, who had employed Mason as a pot washer, faced backlash from Yasmeen and others at Speed Daal.

Only time will tell what will happen to the residents of Weatherfield, but with more police investigations, poisoning, theft, and scams, could Coronation Street be taking an even darker turn in the weeks that follow?

We can only hope Lauren finds out the truth behind her sudden birth and Joel faces the music for his crimes. As her baby is getting medical help, will the new police investigation uncover more than originally planned? Lauren is determined to help her baby survive, but at what cost? Beth is due to be leaving the British soap soon and her recent criminal activity could prove to be her downfall.

Only time will tell if Mason will get off the streets or if his stubborn nature will ultimately be his downfall?

Coronation Street airs on ITV and ITVX.
