Coronation Street tonight: Joel adds to his statement at the police station

Lisa grilled Joel about his relationship with Lauren, but he insisted he was innocent and said they would find traces of drugs in her's or Frankie's blood. He also accused Lauren of buying drugs to abort the baby illegally. Lisa warned Joel that the police would eventually find out who bought the drugs. Joel claimed that Lauren purchased them online.

Meanwhile, DS Swain mentioned that the hospital confirmed that they had found traces of misoprostal in the placenta.

Coronation Street tonight: Toyah gets an update from the doctor

Nick told Toyah that he never wanted to leave her side and went with her to the hospital. The doctor told them that she was clear and wouldn't need chemotherapy but would need to come back every few months for follow-ups. They went back home and had a candlelight dinner with champagne. Toyah whimsically said that she had been living in the moment for months, and one more night wouldn't hurt.

Lauren told Dee Dee that they had found the drugs in her placenta and that she was being monitored as a possible danger to Frankie. She was devastated that they thought she would hurt her baby and afraid that she would likely be charged. Lauren confirmed to Dee Dee that she told the safeguarding team the whole story about Joel's abuse. Dee Dee told Lauren that Joel tried to kill Frankie and Lauren, and Dee Dee was going to make sure the whole world knew.

Joel pushed back when Lisa wondered aloud if there was a long list of other young girls that he had taken advantage of. He told her that she was cooking up theories and that she should either charge him or set him free.

Fiz discovered that 250 quid were missing from her joint account with Ty. He told her it was for engine oil and that Kevin would reimburse him. Kevin on the other hand, refused to cover for him. He told Ty that he was being a good friend by forcing him to come clean before the lie made his life worse.

Ty told Fiz that he had used the money to pay Adam for legal advice and that he wanted Alina and Dorin to live locally so he could see Dorin. Fiz was worried whether Alina would be there to pick up the pieces if they hit a bump.

Kirk told Craig to make things right with his mum. Craig discussed it with Kit and said if Kit could forgive Bernie, then he should give his mum a chance. Kit said Craig could have lost his career because of Beth and reminded her that when she had her back against the wall, she chose herself.

Bethany was upset that Joel has been released. She reminded Lisa of when her mum's flat was broken into and suggested that it was Joel, as he'd found out that Bethany had let Lauren use her credit card. "I came to see you that day, and you brushed me off just like you're brushing me off now," Bethany said.

Joel told Dee Dee that the whole thing with Lauren was over and begged her to take him back. He gave his phones to her, confident she wouldn't find anything incriminating.

Fiz made it clear to Tyrone that having Alina and Dorin in their lives would be humiliating. Ty insisted that the people that matter to them would understand.

Bethany reckoned that just because Joel was involved didn't necessarily mean that Nathan wasn't and that they were both perverts. She wondered why Lauren and Ellie would both lie. Bethany pointed out that they both said it was Nathan, and that only made sense if Nathan and Joel were in it together.

Roy and Max went to the hospital to support Lauren. She told them that she wanted to leave town to escape Joel, but Roy suggested it would be safer if she stayed with her friends and got help instead.

Joel was shown going back to the police station to tell DS Swain that he had not told the whole truth earlier. He wanted to add to his statement, saying that Dee Dee and Lauren felt rejected by him and teamed up to make accusations. Lisa told Joel that she wanted to get that on tape and led him to the interview room.

Coronation Street tonight: Dee Dee protects Lauren

Lauren tried to explain to Bethany and Daniel that Joel forced her to accuse Nathan, even though she had never met him. Bethany was of the opinion that Lauren knew more than she was letting on.

Dee Dee visited Lauren at the hospital and told her that Joel had been to the cop shop again, using the scorned woman cliche to his advantage. Dee Dee made a veiled threat saying that Joel knew how to play dirty, but so did she.

Alina spent time at the park with Dorin and Ty. Later, she was seen in the pub while a man watched her and Dorin from across the room. He called someone on his phone and said, "It's definitely her."

Dee Dee told Lauren that while she had Joel's phones, she had loaded a tracking app on the devices. Dee Dee advised Lauren that if Joel tried popping in, she should call security or the police. "I said I'd bring down Joel, and unlike him, I keep my promises," Dee Dee muttered.
