On The Bold and the Beautiful, Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) has been away at school. When he returned to L.A. this summer, his father, Bill (Don Diamont), was in a relationship with Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park). Will was told he had a new half-sister, Luna (Lisa Yamada).

Will wasn’t especially pleased about his new family dynamic, but it didn’t last long. Luna turned out to be a murderous lunatic and replaced her mom in jail after it was revealed she was letting Poppy take the fall for her crimes. Amidst the chaos, Poppy and Bill’s relationship didn’t survive.

With Poppy taking some time for herself and Luna presumably in prison, Bill noticed that one person who had his back during the situation was his ex-wife, Katie (Heather Tom). Last week, Bill called Katie over and proposed reuniting their family, but Katie was hesitant.

Later, Katie talked with Will about the prospect, and he made himself clear. Will had no desire for his parents to reunite and asked his mom not to get back together with Bill, especially not for his sake. Will decided he was not going back to school out of town and would stay in L.A. to protect his mom.

Despite Katie’s protests, Will thinks Katie needs to be shielded from Bill. He said that his father has broken his mom’s heart too many times in the past, and he doesn’t want to see it happen again.

However, Will might be more like his father than he realizes. He resents his dad for Bill's lack of faithfulness in his marriage, but there might be a little bit more of Bill in him than he knows. Crew Morrow, who plays Will, told the WaterCooler, “I mean, as much as Will doesn’t like to admit it, he’s a playboy like his father.”

Will also has no problem defying what his father thinks and wants. Bill can be a formidable force and is used to getting what he wants. But Katie has suggested that Will come to work with her at Forrester Creations as an intern instead of going with his father at Spencer Publications.

How will Bill handle this resistance from his son? Will’s half-brothers, Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks), don’t always see eye to eye with their father, but they have bonded with Bill professionally and personally over the years. Could Will working at Forrester worsen the divide between Will and Bill, or would the distance help their relationship?

Will might have his own fitting-in to do at Forrester if that is where he chooses to work. Although Ridge and Brooke’s son, R.J., is Will’s cousin, there is tension between the two young men. Working together could be conflicting for R.J., who is trying to find his footing after being duped by Luna.

R.J.’s cousin Will has a swagger and confidence that R.J. seems to lack. If Will has capabilities at the family company that outshine R.J.’s, their tension could easily turn into a bigger conflict—and follow suit with the history of years of contention between the families.

A romance or even a romantic triangle could be on Will's horizon. With Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) coming to town, Zende, R.J., and Will might be vying for her attention soon.
