Who were Ivy Forrester’s romantic interests on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful eagerly anticipate the return of Ashleigh Brewer, who will reprise her role as Ivy Forrester. Ivy is the niece of Eric, the patriarch of the Forrester family, and the daughter of his brother John.

Brewer originated the role when Ivy made her first appearance on July 10, 2014. She continued until 2018, when she left the show. When Ivy reappeared in April 2024, The Bold and the Beautiful fans were hopeful it prefaced a more extended return.

In April, Ivy was on a layover in Los Angeles. She contacted Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and they met for lunch at Il Giardino. Liam was speechless when Ivy flirtatiously told him she hadn't forgotten their relationship and jogged his memory with a kiss.

When Ivy lived in L.A., she had the attention of several men. Let's take a look at her past B&B lovers and flirtations and see if there is potential for a new spark with any of them upon her return.

Ivy and Liam

Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer had already been through a lot. Liam had bounced back and forth with Hope's stepsister Steffy, and Hope was triangulated with Liam's half-brother Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks).

Ivy and Liam had gotten to know one another as she worked on Hope for the Future's jewelry line at Forrester Creations. When Hope was trying to reunite with Liam, Wyatt's mom, Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer), manipulated the situation.

Unbeknownst to Ivy and Liam, Quinn knocked Ivy into the Seine in Paris so Liam would feel compelled to dive in to save her. Because he was busy being Ivy's hero, Liam showed up late to the Eiffel Tower to meet Hope. Hope thought Liam was a no-show for their wedding, and she and Wyatt jetted off to Monte Carlo, where they married on Bill Spencer's yacht, the Stella Maris.

Devastated and brokenhearted, Liam leaned on Ivy. Her feelings grew, and she opened the door to Liam's affection by kissing him. When Liam was ready to move on, he invited Ivy for a romantic dinner, and the sparks flew later in the bedroom.

However, Steffy came back to L.A. and interrupted Liam and Ivy's budding relationship. Liam realized he still had feelings for Steffy, but Ivy found out that she was going to be deported back to Australia because of an immigration issue. To keep her in L.A., Liam agreed to marry Ivy.

Ivy and Liam were married on June 16, 2015. However, Liam knew their relationship was not ready for that level of commitment. They agreed that the nuptials were only on paper.

When Ivy discovered that she had dual citizenship and the immigration "issue" was over, she worried about telling Liam. By then, she had overheard Liam confess to Steffy that he still loved her.

Knowing Liam's feelings for Steffy, Ivy risked her marriage by telling Liam that she no longer needed the marriage of convenience. She was disappointed when Liam wanted an annulment.

Ivy and Wyatt

Ivy turned her attention to Liam's brother Wyatt, but once again, Steffy was involved. Ivy and Steffy's cousin Aly was dealing with some mental health issues and had become hostile toward Steffy.

Knowing that Ivy's marriage was dissolving and that Liam and Steffy were reuniting, Aly was enraged. She attacked Steffy, who killed Aly in self-defense.

Ivy captured the fight between her cousins on video and threatened to blackmail Steffy. With some involvement from Liam and Wyatt, the two women eventually mended their relationship, and Ivy continued to date Wyatt.

Ivy and Thomas

Also, during that time, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) took a liking to Ivy, and once again, Steffy involved herself in Ivy's relationships.

Thomas' flirting increased, and he and Ivy kissed a few times. Steffy found out and told Ivy that if she didn't confess her infidelity to Wyatt, then Steffy would tell him.

Steffy ended up telling Wyatt, who was crushed. Wyatt broke it off with Ivy, but she and Thomas did not become a couple.

Ivy and Wyatt again

Enraged that her cousin told Wyatt, Ivy got into a fight with Steffy, and Ivy was electrocuted. Ivy survived and made up with Wyatt, but her near-death experience made her realize that she still had feelings for Liam.

Liam tried to convince Ivy not to hurt his brother, but Ivy relentlessly told Liam that she loved him.

When Quinn found out that Wyatt intended to propose to Ivy, she intervened. She confronted Ivy and Liam in front of Wyatt and demanded that someone tell him the truth. Liam eventually admitted that Ivy had been professing her love.

Brokenhearted again, Wyatt ended his relationship with Ivy for good.

Who will Ivy be paired with when she returns to L.A.?

Now that Ivy is coming back to The Bold and the Beautiful, who will she be romantically matched with? When she was last seen on the show, she was kissing Liam at Il Giardino.

Liam has been holding a torch for Steffy this year. With his marriage over and his ex inexplicably in a friends-with-benefits relationship with Thomas, Liam held out hope that Steffy would come back to him. Steffy, however, is loyally married to Finn (Tanner Novlan) and hasn't noticed Liam secretly pining for her.

However, when Steffy nearly died and Finn saved her, Liam realized that Finn might be good enough for Steffy, after all. He has given them both his nod of approval, and for the first time in a long time, Liam is decidedly single.

Wyatt has been out of L.A. for most of the year. The last time we saw him on-screen, he told his dad, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), that he was leaving town because he "needed a change."

There isn't a current storyline that has mentioned fan-favorite Wyatt Spencer recently, but that doesn't mean it can't be written.

As for Thomas, he was last seen in a committed relationship with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). The couple was engaged and living in Paris (the city) with Thomas' son, Douglas. The relationship seemed genuine, and Douglas was even calling Paris (the woman) "Mom."

That said, with Thomas' own mom, Dr. Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig), back in L.A. and apparently dying, it is quite possible that Thomas could come back and cross paths with Ivy soon.
