Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) first appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful in October 2000, when Rick Forrester brought him to town as the biological father of “Little Eric.” Rick wanted Deacon to disrupt the life of Rick’s ex-wife Amber Moore (Adrienne Franz) and stop her wedding to C.J. Garrison (Mick Cain).
Deacon accomplished his mission…and then some. There’s a plethora of crimes that Deacon has committed over the years, and these are just some of the morally questionable displays of character we’ve been shown so far:
5. Dad of the Year

Straight out of the gate, Deacon showed viewers his true character when he had the opportunity to be a father to Little Eric. Instead, he took Eric from his adoptive mom Amber, and used his son as a pawn in a bidding war between the Spectra and Forrester families.
4. Deacon is Sheila Carter’s champion
After serving more time in prison, Deacon claimed to be turning his life around while working at—and eventually buying—Il Giardino. However, Deacon was also seeing deranged killer Sheila Carter through rose-colored glasses and tried to convince the rest of the world that she had changed, as well. Since falling for Sheila, Deacon has helped turn her in to the authorities, gotten her released from prison, married her, thought he lost her, and then saved her again. It has been hard for some to see Deacon as redeemed when he has spent the whole time defending Sheila from accusations of murders, attacks, and, well, just being Sheila.
3. Trying to ruin his daughter’s Italian wedding
Bill Spencer didn't want his son Liam to marry Hope Logan. Bill got Deacon released from prison and, in exchange, wanted Deacon to disrupt the wedding. Bill made Deacon travel to Italy and surprise Hope on the day of her wedding. Bill thought that Hope would be so distracted by Deacon that she would be late to her wedding and that Liam would reunite with Steffy Forrester. Despite Deacon’s many attempts to interfere, Hope and Liam married. All was not lost, though, as Deacon’s return managed to break up Brooke and Ridge instead.
2. Deacon had an audience on his wedding night
After Amber rejected him for Rick, Deacon turned his attention to Bridget Forrester. Bridget’s family was enraged when Bridget ran off to Las Vegas with Deacon to elope. They demanded the couple return home immediately, but Deacon got the last word. Deacon put the phone down and let Eric, Brooke, and Rick Forrester listen while he took Bridget’s virginity.
1. Deacon had an affair (and a baby) with his mother-in-law
If you ask Sean Kanan what he thinks is the craziest thing his character ever did, it was to have a baby with his mother-in-law, Brooke Logan.
While no one got killed, kidnapped, or drugged, Brooke and Deacon’s affair definitely caused a lot of pain. Deacon later told Bridget he’d slept with someone, and when he professed his love, Bridget decided to stay together. Brooke realized she was pregnant. She married Whip Jones, who pretended he was the father, but it was revealed that baby Hope was the product of Brooke and Deacon’s affair.
(Dis)Honorable Mentions:
Technically, not all of Deacon’s misdeeds were on The Bold and the Beautiful. The character has made a habit of crossing over to The Young and the Restless, and while in Genoa City, Deacon managed to keep up his bad-boy conduct by sleeping with Victoria Newman; her mother, Nikki Newman; and Phyllis Summers. Deacon also kidnapped both Amber and Nikki, helped Diane Jenkins fake her death, and back on B&B, aided Quinn Fuller in kidnapping Liam Spencer.
