Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Today, we saw a very special conversation in the CEO’s office, and it's one that we, as soap fans and fans of The Bold and the Beautiful, have been waiting for. A choice was made. Ridge told Carter that he had to choose. Between walking out of Forrester Creations with his girlfriend, Hope, or stay and be a part of the company going forward. Wow! I can't believe we got here; I had some serious doubts about how I thought this would go, and I am happy to report that Carter chose the right thing finally. He chose his friends and his career and to have hope for his future, you know, without the Hope part. Carter told Hope that he had to pick his friend and his livelihood. So Hope has lost her line, her job, and her man all in one foul (or pleasant as the case may be) swoop, but Hope didn't have to lose her man. That was her choice. Carter then went to talk to a quite miffed Hope, who told him he was just another man letting her down and that maybe he didn't have what it took to lead a company, but he didn't have what it took to be with her. Carter said to Hope that he knew she was hurting and wouldn't let her push him away after she told him to go and leave her alone. Hope had a curious expression, as if she knew she could still twist Carter and bend him to her will.
