Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy wanted to be the one to drop the horrible news on Liam that he was dying. It’s understandable that she would want him to hear it from her rather than Finn…but neither of them is Liam’s doctor, and it’s going beyond the bounds of credulity that Steffy should even know before Liam, let alone be the one to tell him on her own. I’m not sure what HIPAA laws were broken here, but in one of the multiple times Finn repeatedly said that Liam had a mass and it was inoperable, one would think that a better way to handle the situation was to ask Bridget at least, if not Grace with her, to come to the cliff house once they knew he was there. All of them could have been there for him…Taylor surely could have offered some mental health tips on how to deal (for all of them), and they could have sat outside so that Kelly didn’t hear from the next room. Or, something like that. Anything, really, other than Steffy immediately dumping it on him when Kelly wasn’t even asleep yet, with zero facts or context other than a text from Finn, and the same sentence being repeated by him in person. How long does he have to live? What happens next? Have they gotten a second or third opinion? Does Hope know, too? So many questions, and Steffy doesn't know the answer. For that matter, neither does Finn. Not really the best way to deliver a fatal diagnosis to someone, even in Soapland.
