This week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge went to the CEO’s office after the jewelry line launch and asked Carter if he was enjoying being the top guy, noting he didn’t seem to excited. Ridge told Carter he was confused because when he looked at him, he saw the man who stayed up with him night after night when his dad was dying, and the man who slept on his couch when Maya had left, and he saw his brother. “Man, I don’t want to, but I still do,” Ridge added. Ridge reminded Carter that they had a meeting in that very office and decided to cut Hope for the Future. He said Carter agreed with it but then reinstated it after Ridge left. He wanted Carter to reconcile how his business decisions weren’t skewed in Hope’s favor because of his personal feelings for her. Ridge also pointed out that he had stepped down as CEO, and Steffy had asked Carter to run the company with her. He said that would have been the perfect time to rectify what Carter claimed was a toxic atmosphere and implement all of his grand ideas, but he didn’t do it then, either. Ridge determined that Carter only changed his perspective on everyone and everything because of Hope’s influence. Ridge implored Carter to remember when they first met, and it touched a nerve. Remembering their connection, Carter broke down and cried. He told Ridge how much he missed him, and they hugged. Hope walked in, saw them, and intervened. She told off Ridge and reminded Carter that her opinion of him mattered more. Carter hung his head subserviently and Ridge realized that Carter wasn’t in charge at all and told him so. Afterward, Ridge talked to Brooke, who didn’t want to acknowledge Hope influenced Carter, even though she had just said the opposite to Katie. Brooke was focused on asking Ridge to come back to her. Ridge walked out. Liam visited Steffy and reminded her that everyone missed his birthday, so she stuck a candle in a cookie for him. He wished her and Finn well. Finn came home to tell Steffy the truth. He told her about his affair with Poppy when he was 18. Steffy was mortified that his aunt preyed on him, even if she had been on drugs. Steffy promised it didn’t change anything between them but Finn told her there was more, and she wasn’t going to like it. I apologized again to Poppy, saying how she should never have suspected her of having an affair under her roof all those years ago. Luna lamented about her crimes and wished she and Finm could have a relationship. The AC was out at Bill’s, but Luna wasn’t allowed to swim, or it would set off an alarm on her bracelet. Sheila introduced Remy to Bill at Il Giardino but said his name was Dario. Bill hired “Dario” to come fix his AC. Remy recognized Luna. Bill paid Remy for his discretion.
