Hope was enraged at Brooke for going to Brooke instead of her after she overheard Hope and Carter talking about their planned coup. Hope was only concerned about Carter being ambushed by Ridge and maintained that the Forresters deserved to have their company taken away from them because she had been wronged. Carter was summoned to the office by Ridge, who told him he knew what he’d been up to but gave him the chance to fix it all. Ridge said he would forgive and forget as long as Carter got out of his toxic relationship with Hope. Carter told Ridge that he loved Hope and would do anything for her. Ridge told Carter that Hope was just using him and that his betrayal of their friendship broke his heart. Ridge ended his friendship with Carter, fired him from Forrester, and banned him from the building. Brooke disagreed with the coup but felt betrayed by Ridge when she heard him telling Taylor that he blamed the coup on Hope. In front of Taylor, Brooke angrily told Ridge how she felt and said she wouldn’t let Taylor and Steffy convince him that Hope was to blame for anything Carter did. When Steffy learned about the coup and Carter and Hope’s relationship, she went to HOpe’s and told her that she ruined Carter’s character, reputation, career, and friendships. She noted that Carter wanted HFTF canceled for a long time — until Hope got involved with him, and suddenly, he became her champion. Steffy pointed out that she and Carter worked well together, and he was also her friend. Carter felt momentarily bad about hurting Ridge, but he got over it and filed the LLC papers. Justin confirmed that because the papers were filed, the Forresters lost control of the company to Carter. Electra and Will ran into Remy at Il Giardino, where he’d gotten a job. Will got an odd vibe from Remy, but Electra insisted they had only ever been friends. Remy made comments about how he would be able to see Electra all the time now that he was established in town, and he often paused at work to gaze at a photo of her on his phone. Luna sent another letter to Billy begging to see him and asking for his forgiveness and understanding. Poppy went to the prison to see Luna. Poppy told her daughter that she couldn’t accept the awful things that she had done and that she felt their relationship was over. Luna asked again if she had talked to Bill, which was a red flag for Poppy. After her mother left, Bill showed up for a prison visit with Luna.
