In the CEO's office, Steffy told Ivy and Electra that she hoped that they didn’t come to L.A. just for that meeting. Steffy noted how she still couldn’t believe how much Electra had grown since the last time she saw her. Carter interjected to remind Steffy that good companies grow, too. Steffy said that she appreciated the pitch and it was good to see Forresters, but she didn’t think they could reboot the jewelry line.
Carter and Ivy tried to plead their case again. “Stop thinking so small. We need to expand and get our brand out there. It’s a no-brainer for me and should be for you, too,” Carter said. Steffy apologized to Electra and asked her to step out of the office. Once Electra left, Steffy’s tone changed.
Steffy told Ivy and Carter that she did not appreciate her abilities as co-CEO being questioned. “I don’t put my emotions into business decisions. I find that insulting,” Steffy said sternly. Carter corrected Steffy and said that Ivy wasn’t there to insult her but said Ivy had a right to question Steffy’s reasoning.
In front of Ivy, Carter repeated to Steffy to leave her personal feelings out of business. “You did it with Hope, and you’re doing it with Ivy,” Carter added. Steffy insisted that her personal feelings had nothing to do with anything. “My decision is final,” she concluded. Steffy said she had other things to do, so Ivy walked out. Carter followed but stopped a couple of times to glare and stare down Steffy.

Hope and Brooke enjoyed having Will in the office and giggled that they gave him a task that involved a model. After the model left, Brooke said having Will’s smiling face around them was nice. Hope reiterated that it was good to have another Logan on their side. She told Will that as a Logan, he’ll have to work twice as hard as anyone else to please Steffy.
Brooke agreed that there were two sides at work: the Forresters and the Logans. Will wondered if Steffy was as intense as they were saying. Hope complained that Steffy sometimes claims to put their rivalries behind them but then doesn’t. She said she was preparing herself for Steffy to cut HFTF.
Brooke assured Hope that Steffy couldn’t justify cutting Hope’s line and reminded her that she had Carter in her corner. Brooke said that HFTF would get past the lull it was in. Will thought it was cool that the COO was rooting for Hope.
In the hallway, Carter joined Ivy and Electra. Ivy told Electra that she and Steffy’s bad blood goes back to both being in love with Liam. Electra pointed out that Steffy was married to someone else, and Carter called it ancient history. Carter ranted that Steffy needed to let the personal stuff go. He assured Ivy and Electra that he would grow the company, and his plan included them.
Brooke came into the CEO's office and tried to talk to Steffy about Brooke’s Bedroom, but she was distracted. Brooke demanded to know what she was thinking about in case it was work related. “I’m a member of the executive team. If it pertains to Forrester, then I should know,” Brooke said. Steffy relented and told Brooke that she always respected Carter’s business acumen, but lately, he’d been a little off base and sometimes even flat-out wrong.
Brooke patronized Steffy and claimed she was only upset that Carter defended Hope and her line. Steffy admitted she wasn’t thrilled that he was so over the top in his arguments but noted it wasn’t the only line Carter was interested in. Steffy shared that Carter wanted to revamp the jewelry line with Ivy. “I never thought I’d say this, but I’m really starting to question Carter’s judgment as COO,” Steffy said.
Across the hall, Carter stomped into the designers’ office and slammed the door behind him. He raged to Hope how Steffy was hell-bent on keeping the company stagnant. He explained how he pitched Ivy’s jewelry line, and Hope thought it was a brilliant idea. Carter said that Steffy vetoed it before giving it a glance “because of personal grudge with Ivy.” Carter said the petty personal attacks at Forrester had to stop.
Carter wondered if he was the only one who could see the company’s potential for growth. Hope suggested that Steffy knew something he didn’t, but Carter shook his head. He said Steffy insisted it wasn’t personal, but it was so obvious to him that rivalries are fueling Steffy’s decisions. “Thank you! Finally, someone else sees it besides me and my aunt!” Hope exclaimed.
Carter said he’d been researching for years and knew how to take the company to the next level. Carter shared that he wanted Forrester to own a plethora of brands and have them all under one big luxury umbrella. He explained that they could take undervalued companies that create products like fragrances and spirits and put them in the House of Forrester.
Hope told Carter that there was no one better to lead the charge than him. Carter sulked that Steffy would just block him and repeated that her personal feelings blinded her. Hope advised that with or without Steffy, he needed to meet with Ridge and Eric and get them on his side. She told Carter that she could tell by the passion and excitement in his voice that this was the mark he was going to leave “on their company and on the industry as a whole.” Hope grabbed his shoulders and looked at him intently. “This is your legacy. I can see it. This future that you’re envisioning, Carter, is there. You just need to take it. I believe in you,” Hope told him.
In the hallway, Electra and Will were walking quickly and not looking where they were going. They collided, sending everything they were holding flying. Will knelt down and quickly tried to pick it all up while apologizing. He said he heard something roll off and looked to find it. Electra turned around as Will held up a ring and asked if it was hers. She said her aunt had designed it, and they hoped to work on a line at Forrester. Will stood up, and they introduced one another. Will slipped the ring on her finger as they were fixated on each other's eyes.
