Taylor told Steffy about the heart problems and symptoms she had been experiencing. Taylor said she was going to be fine, in large part because of Ridge.
Taylor explained that Ridge convinced her to go to a doctor. Taylor told Steffy how the doctor in Europe said she was dying of heart failure, and that was why she had come home. Taylor noted that she had gotten a second opinion only because of Ridge. Taylor added that Dr. Buckingham ran tests that showed the initial diagnosis was wrong. “My heart isn’t failing, it’s just broken,” Taylor said.

Taylor explained broken heart syndrome and how Ridge and Shandra helped with energy healing. Taylor said chances were good that her next echocardiogram would show an improvement. Taylor added she wasn’t suddenly cured as her body had serious healing to do, but the evening had been about holistic healing. Taylor recognized there was a place for both medicinal and holistic work.
Taylor told Steffy that Ridge was very sensitive and committed when Shandra was there. Steffy asked how Brooke was involved. “She wasn’t. She came over unannounced,” Taylor said. Taylor said Brooke saw the candles, mood, and the deep connection between Taylor and Ridge. Taylor suspected Ridge was getting quite the tongue-lashing at home.

“We really worked through some things,” Taylor said of her evening with Ridge. She mentioned the loss of Phoebe and said they missed her every day. Taylor realized she hadn’t been there enough for Steffy. Taylor promised she would no longer run from her problems or be in and out of Steffy’s life. “I’m here, and I’m going to stay here, where I’m meant to be — with you, your beautiful children, and your father,” Taylor said.
Taylor said the woman she was last time she was in L.A. was gone, and she felt like a different person. “After tonight and the breakthrough and connecting that I had with your father, I’m feeling empowered to live my best life,” Taylor explained. Steffy told her mom she was proud of her.
At home, Brooke continued pressuring Ridge for answers about the intimate setting she had witnessed at Steffy’s. Brooke said that Taylor had already explained it, but she didn’t trust her and wanted to hear about it from Ridge. “Why was she in your lap, straddling you?” Brooke asked.
Ridge recounted how Taylor thought she was dying, but they saw Dr. Buckingham for a second opinion and were given good news. He explained the difference between medicinal and holistic healing and that he thought it would help heal the trauma Taylor had been carrying.
Ridge was excited at the energy release he was part of with Taylor. He told Brooke he had wanted to tell her about it, and he was sorry she found out the way that she did.
Brooke asked Ridge to empathize with how it felt for her to see what she did. Ridge explained they were following Shandra’s instructions. Brooke thought it was ridiculous and that he shouldn’t have been with his ex-wife. Brooke asked about the straddling pose and how it worked.
Ridge explained the pose was about mutual awareness. Brooke didn’t like that it was a pose that he did with Taylor but had never done it with Brooke. Ridge apologized for hurting Brooke.
Ridge and Taylor made up by trying the pose together. Ridge explained to Brooke how to breathe as one and look into each other’s eyes. “You’re the only one for me,” Ridge said as they kissed.
Liam found Hope working late at Forrester Creations. He said he brought something that he wanted to show her. Liam said he had just finished a big media splash for HFTF and realized he had become a personal project for him.
Liam showed Hope the promotional video that he had made. There were photos and videos of Hope and her fashion line, as a voice-over explained that she was more than a designer — she was a visionary.
The promo showed Hope with her kids and commented on how Hope promised to show her children how to face life’s challenges and instill kindness and compassion. “Hope is here. Hope is now. Hope IS the future,” the promo said.
Hope was blown away by the video. Liam said it would be released as soon as she approved it. Hope thought Liam would have delegated someone else to make the promo. “I wanted to be the one to do the tribute because I want everyone to know who you are and everything you’ve accomplished,” Liam explained.
Liam told Hope that he couldn’t stop thinking about her. “Not just the past and the wonderful memories we shared, but I keep thinking about the future,” Liam added. Hope said they have talked about that already.
Liam rambled about how they had shared something special and thought they were still wonderful together. “We’re great friends, great co-parents and it’s taken some adjustment. But still,” Liam paused, then asked Hope to hear him out. Before she could respond, he grabbed her and kissed her. Hope pulled away, but Liam held her and told her he had wanted to do that for a really long time.
