At Bill’s mansion, Remy and Luna continued to bond. She told him she felt like she could trust and talk to him. Remy promised he could keep her secret, but they heard Bill coming, so Luna ran to hide. Bill came in and saw Remy and wanted to know what he was still doing there. Remy told Bill he just finished getting the AC fixed.

Bill asked for Remy’s phone number, although Bill still thought his name was Dario. He told him that if he ever did hire him back for anything, he would have to respect his privacy above all else. After Bill left the room, Luna got his attention. Remy told her he wasn’t perfect either and could also use a friend. Luna said she’d done things she didn’t want to think about, but Remy could relate. She told him she knew they had things in common. Remy left with a happy smile.

At Il Giardino, Sheila told Deacon about her conversation with Poppy. She noted that Poppy was drinking alone and that although she missed Hollis and Tom, she couldn’t help but empathize with Poppy as a mom who couldn’t have a relationship with her child.

Deacon’s disdain for Luna couldn’t be overstated. She killed two people he cared about, and he couldn’t forgive her. He didn’t see the comparison between Poppy and Sheila’s plights. Sheila apologized for bringing up bad memories and getting Deacon fired up. She realized how much she missed Finn and her grandchild.

Deacon told Sheila he knew that she started obsessing when she talked like that. He reminded her they had been doing well, and he didn’t want her to talk with Poppy to set her back. Sheila admitted that Finn and Hayes were always on her mind.

At the Forrester mansion, Taylor and Ridge continued to recap how Luna kidnapped and nearly killed Seffy, and Finn rescued her. Ridge thought it was ironic that Luna locked Steffy in a cage, and now she was in one for the rest of her life. Ridge was grateful that Finn and Luna weren’t blood-related. Taylor and Ridge concluded that everything was so perfect for Finn and Steffy now that nothing could stand in the way of their happiness. Finn told Steffy that she had every right to be freaking out, and he was too, but they couldn’t let the revelation that he was Luna’s father come between them. Steffy said the reality of it was starting to hit her. She said she knew Finn and that he must have mixed emotions.

Finn said she may have turned into a different person if he had been there for Luna growing up. Steffy understood to some extent but started worrying that he was sounding like he did about Sheila. She asked if he still thought he could make a difference. “You can’t help seeing Luna as your child just like you can’t help seeing Sheila as your birth mother,” Steffy told him.

Steffy realized that Luna was Sheila’s granddaughter, and the sick, sociopathic behavior was passed down. “Oh my god, that blood is in Hayes,” Steffy cried. Finn asked what he could do, and Steffy relented there was nothing. “I know you’re not trying to hurt me, but you brought this into my life. My family. My son,” Steffy told him.

Steffy wanted to live a normal, simple life and said they deserved peace. She recalled how magical it was to fall in love with him until their wedding day. “When evil showed up and announced she was your birth mother,” Steffy added. Steffy noted that Finn felt like he had a connection with Sheila and wasn’t horrified by her enough to send her away. Finn emphasized that he didn’t feel like that anymore, he felt no connection to Sheila. Steffy asked about his demented daughter. Finn agreed that Steffy didn’t deserve this but asked that they didn’t give up on their relationship and let it break them. “I need my partner. I need my best friend. I need you!” Finn cried. Steffy told him she knew it wasn’t his fault. She admitted that when he told her, she thought about running out the door, but she made a vow to him and intended to keep it. “I love you. We’re going to get through this,” Steffy told him. She added that the difference was that Luna was locked up in prison for life, and they would never have to deal with her again.
