At Forrester, Zende and Daphne wondered why Ridge was in the building. He said it was shocking to see him at Forrester, especially with Brooke. Daphne agreed that Steffy and Taylor wouldn’t be happy about it. Meanwhile at the Forrester mansion, Steffy got a message from Finn while he was working late again at the office. They talked about how hardworking he was and that he never let Steffy down. They chatted about Brooke, Hope, and Ridge, and then Daphne called.
Daphne and Zende informed Steffy that they saw Ridge at Forrester, and he was in the design office with Brooke. After she hung up, Steffy told Taylor she knew she was upset but pointed out that they knew Brooke would corner Ridge the first chance she had. Taylor said if he wanted to be with Brooke, he wouldn’t be there with her. “I’m just sorry she isn’t moving on with her life. I wouldn’t be surprised if right now she’s begging him to come back to her,” Taylor noted.
Taylor admitted that for years, Brooke was a dark cloud hanging over her of everything she’d always lost, but now she sees her differently. She could even admit that Brooke had some good qualities, but a lot of faults as well. She used to wonder if Ridge could see them but knew he saw Brooke for who she was. Taylor said she trusted Ridge and his love for her.
At his office, Finn worked but kept thinking about Luna. He had a flashback to him and Steffy professing their love and never letting anything or anyone come between them again. He talked to himself about how Steffy needed the truth and he would tell her tomorrow.

In the CEO’s office, Hope told Carter that Ridge didn’t come over to patch things up and said nothing had changed. “Not yet, but for the first time, I feel like it could,” Carter told her. He said that Ridge was his best friend, and after seeing him, he felt like maybe they had proven their point and it was time to mend fences.
Hope crossed her arms and wanted to know what Ridge said to Carter to make him question their work. “Nothing,” Carter replied. He said he felt like an imposter and a traitor, but Hope admonished him for feeling ashamed of himself. She reiterated he was a good man and should be proud of his jewelry line launch.
Carter insisted Ridge wasn’t making him feel guilty; he felt that on his own. Hope asked if they were going to overlook the way Ridge and Steffy had treated them. Hope passionately pleaded with Carter to see it her way, that Ridge and Steffy weren’t proud of him and she didn’t want Ridge coming back. “We need designers,” Carter reminded her.
Hope told him that they had designers, and if Ridge wanted to come back, then he did so as an employee because she refused to answer to him or Steffy ever again.
Carter recalled how he couldn’t wait to be a litigator when he was in law school, but he had a mentor who told him that winning wasn’t what mattered, how you got there did. “It wasn’t our intentions to betray anyone,” Carter stated, noting that they had genuine motivations, but it came at a cost. Hope could see that Ridge had a reason to be upset but wondered why his dignity mattered more than theirs.
Hope acknowledged that the takeover cost Carter his friendship and Brooke’s relationship with Ridge, but she refused to continue to bend over backward for a man who never took responsibility for his actions. “I refuse. This company is in the right hands. Your hands. IF Ridge comes back, it is going to be on our terms, not his,” Hope insisted.
“Your so-called friend wants us to fail,” Hope claimed to Carter. She warned him that Ridge was just mad because they were succeeding and not to give his power back to people who treated them like dirt for years. Carter tried telling her they wouldn’t treat her like that anymore, but Hope yelled that he couldn’t promise that. “It’s such an insult to hear them say that I’m using you and putting ideas in your head because that means that you can’t think for yourself, that you can’t stand up for yourself or anyone else, or question their authority. They don’t know you like that. They don’t know me like that. They don’t know what we’re capable of, and Forrester Creations is ours now,” Hope told Carter. Carter held her, but he looked very concerned.
In the design office, Brooke told Ridge that he and Eric should be back at Forrester. “Just like you belong at home with me, in our home. Not with Taylor,” Brooke added. Brooke pleaded with Ridge to work through it. “How would we do that when you’re here with Hope and Carter?” Ridge asked. Brooke insisted she didn’t care about being CEO and said she would give the job up. Brooke said she only cared about Ridge and wanted him back.
Ridge told Brooke she didn’t really want him. “Do you know what I want? I want you to control your daughter,” Ridge snapped. He said that she knew what Hope was like and pointed out how she knew Hope would never commit to Thomas, and watched her string him along. Now, his dad was sitting at home on the couch with nothing to do because of Hope, too. “All because she wanted something, and she used my best friend to get it. And that is unforgivable,” Ridge told her.
Brooke insisted Hope loved Carter, although she admitted that Hope had made some mistakes. Ridge asked if she was saying Hope didn’t need to be accountable for them. Ridge said he talked to Carter about it, and Carter got it. “He knows this is wrong,” Ridge added. He said that he thought Brooke knew it was wrong, too, it was just Hope who didn’t understand. “You know what’s wrong? You and Eric aren’t here running this business, and you and I are not together and we should be,” Brooke said instead of agreeing. Brooke and Ridge bickered about who needed to lead the way to fix everything. Ridge told Brooke that Carter was showing remorse but Hope needed to understand that it was wrong to steal from people, and it needed to stop.
Ridge took Brooke’s hand and told her he didn’t like saying those things to her. She smiled and cooed that it was because he knew deep down that none of it was true. Ridge pulled his hand away and said it was. “Of course, it’s true. Your daughter’s the source of this whole problem. Logan, we made Hope. She’s a big star all over the world because of Forrester. But she wanted more. She always wants more. She wanted revenge. And with you supporting her, she’s going to terrorize this whole building,” Ridge claimed. “Hope wasn’t terrorizing anybody! She worked hard for her position! She was under constant threat by Steffy. Steffy canceled her line, she fired her–” Brooke said. Ridge interrupted to say it was no excuse. Brooke relented that they couldn’t keep arguing about their children’s issues. She said that Ridge handled it by turning to another woman. “I didn’t do that because the man that I love is standing right here in front of me. Ridge walked out.
