In Finn’s office, Poppy pleaded with Finn to keep Luna’s paternity a secret. Finn thought the idea of keeping it a secret from Steffy was insane but at the same time, he wasn’t sure how much more Steffy could take. Steffy said she wasn’t happy about the situation at Forrester Creations but was happy that Taylor and Ridge were back together.

Finn said that Luna was his cousin who killed two men and tried to kill his wife, and now he found out she’s his daughter. He wasn’t sure how to deal with that, let alone tell Steffy. Poppy said there would be nothing for Steffy to deal with if he didn’t tell her.

Finn noted that Sheila was Luna’s grandmother and wondered if that’s where her murderous side came from. “My mother and my daughter both tried to kill my wife. I can’t imagine how Steffy is going to react, Finn said. He insisted that he had to tell her the truth as she was the most important person in his life and he could never keep a secret like that. He told Poppy to leave and advised her to plan for the fallout when everyone found out the truth about Luna’s paternity. Poppy reluctantly walked out.

A moment later, Li walked in and asked if that was her sister she saw leaving. Finn looked like a deer in the headlights. Li said she knew why Poppy had been there. “She wanted to talk about Luna, and everything that happened in our home years ago,” Li guessed.

Li could tell by Finn’s expression that she was right. “It’s okay, son. I know. You and my sister, the bond you two have always shared. It makes sense she’d confide in you about Luna, her father,” Li explained. Li said she didn’t mean to put him in the middle, but she never could shake the feeling that Poppy was having an affair with Jack in their home. She assumed Poppy was still angry and was telling Finn how she felt.

Li brought up Luna and her crimes and said she realized she could have done so much more as she was growing up. She had let her jealousy take over and ended up failing her sister and niece. “I didn’t allow Luna to get to know me or her family. That poor girl has never had a father her whole life,” Li added. Finn agreed that a father in Luna’s life could have made all the difference. Li wondered if they’d ever know who Luna’s father was.

At the Forrester mansion, Steffy talked with her parents about her marriage and how everything was really wonderful. Taylor brought up how Luna almost killed Steffy again and said how much she hated to think about what could have happened had Finn not rescued Steffy.

Steffy focused on the positive things in her life like Finn and the kids. Taylor insisted that bringing up Luna must drudge up some traumatic memories for Steffy. Ridge joined in and told Steffy how much she’d been through. Taylor knew Steffy was strong but wondered if she had really dealt with what Luna had done.

Steffy admitted that she still struggled with what happened with Luna. Taylor said it was important to process the trauma and find some healthy coping mechanisms. Steffy said that Finn knew her history, helped her all the time, and was her constant source of stability. Steffy noted that it was tough, though, to know that his mother and cousin tried killing her.

Steffy said what Luna and Sheila did would always haunt her, but her and Finn’s love was greater than the trauma that they put her through. Taylor said it was a testament to their relationship to overcome all of the obstacles and hoped she’d never be tested again. Steffy said the feeling of waiting and wondering what she and Finn would have to face next would never go away.

At the Spencer mansion, Luna repeated to Bill how appreciative she was of the opportunity. She said she knew the rules and that no one knew where she was but noted that Poppy and Finn had come to visit her in the prison. She wondered if they would ever be allowed to see her at Bill’s.

Bill suggested that Luna being there was a good thing as she’d seemed remorseful. He advised that she continue to do the work and they would see what happened in the future about Poppy and Finn but for now, they would keep her presence a secret.

Luna cried that she had turned Finn against her. She claimed that she had begun having recurring nightmares about Finn being happy with Steffy, and they looked happy with their kids until they saw her and ran away from her in fear. Bill asked how the nightmare ended, and Luna said at the end every time he gave her a chance to redeem herself, but he was disappointed in her. Luna said it was odd, but then, he would see a string, and it was tied to Finn She added that even when Finn went away, it felt like they were still connected. “I know it’s weird, but somehow, it gives me hope,” Luna concluded. She wondered if they could somehow redefine their relationship one day.

Luna hid when they were notified of a visitor. Bill was surprised when Poppy came running in the door asking for his help finding Luna. Poppy said she was still struggling to make sense of everything Luna did. “A child is largely shaped by their environment,” Bill said through gritted teeth. Poppy shared she’d been soul-searching and taking accountability. “I’m not exactly innocent in this. Maybe I did fail Luna as a mother and that thought haunts me,” Poppy told him. She added that Luna’s life could have been very different if she’d made better choices.

Poppy called herself selfish and reckless, always moving around and not providing any stability for Luna. “How was she supposed to thrive?” Poppy asked. She assured Bill she knew that her influence may have damaged Luna. “That and not knowing who her father is,” Bill said sternly.

Poppy shared that the prison official told her that Luna wasn’t there. She wasn’t sure where her daughter was and didn’t know if she was okay or if she was avoiding her. She said that given how Luna had framed her for murder, her feelings for her daughter were complex, but she was worried about her. “There’s something she needs to know,” Poppy added.
