At Steffy’s, Eric asked Ridge if Brooke could reason with Hope, but Ridge divulged he hadn’t seen her the night before. He explained that he couldn’t be around Hope, so he left. Steffy wondered what they were going to do.
Eric couldn’t believe that Brooke could defend Hope. As they were talking, Zende walked in. “Good, I thought you’d all be here,” he said. He said he had heard about the takeover, and he was resigning. “I’m a Forrester. I’m standing with my family,” Zende added firmly.
Zende shared that Hope and Carter tried to get him on board as the lead designer for HFTF. He added that he would never betray his family and knew they had done a coup. Steffy and Ridge told Zende that they appreciated his decision but thought he should reconsider and stay on at Forrester. Ridge thought it would be good to have someone represent their interests until they took Forrester back.
Zende couldn’t believe they wanted him to work for Carter and Hope after what they did. They explained that they couldn’t have the company go under and he was a talented designer who would help prevent that from happening. Ridge noted it would also be nice to have someone on the inside. Steffy said that the takeover wouldn’t last and their day of reckoning would be there before they knew it.

Eric told his family that there was nothing they couldn’t do if they stuck together. Ridge noted that while Carter was a smart businessman and was savvy, he didn’t know fashion. “He doesn’t have the experience, the talent, the vision — that’s what keeps Forrester alive, right?” Ridge added. “We’re this company, those of us in this room,” Eric added. They knew that Carter and Hope would sink without their help. “And there’s no help in sight,” Ridge said.
In the CEO’s office, Carter arranged for a meeting with all of the department heads. He told Hope he was assembling an acquisitions team to start implementing his plan to transform Forrester into a global luxury brand. Hope thought it was exciting to watch Carter’s vision coming to life. Carter said he had an official piece of business as the man in charge: he wanted to hire her back.
Carter and Hope flirted while she accepted the position. She thanked him for supporting her. Carter told Hope that HFTF is, was, and always has been a big part of the company. “It always will be. You belong here,” Carter added. Hope took a deep breath and let that sink in.
Carter revealed to Hope that he would be fully funding HFTF later that day. He assured her she would get all the resources she needed, and Hope promised never to let him down. Ivy came in and said she had heard the news that he was in charge now. Carter told Ivy the jewelry line would not be affected. Ivy was relieved, but as a Forrester, she wondered how Ridge, Steffy, and her Uncle Eric felt about the change.
Hope told Carter that Katie was working on a press release to control the narrative about the leadership change before Ridge, Steffy, and Eric could put a spin on it. Hope said Katie’s release would include the announcement that Carter was in charge without any mention of drama. Carter warned there would be fallout, but Hope said they would just remain positive, and that way, anything that the Forresters said would just look like bitterness. Carter thought it was a good plan and noted they were on their own as he wasn’t sure that Ridge, Steffy, or Eric would ever come back.
Carter told Hope he wanted her to be a pivotal part of the team he was assembling to take Forrester into the future. She noted she should put some of her energy into HFTF. Carter said he valued her insight and opinion, so she agreed to be on the team. She told Carter she had complete faith in his vision for the company and was elated to stand by his side throughout it all. Carter said that for a strong team, a CEO is needed for the day-to-day stuff. He got an idea and smiled. “I think I know the perfect person,” he said.
Carter suggested that Brooke should be the CEO. Hope was overwhelmed with joy and gushed how she couldn’t wait to tell her. “I love you so much,” Hope told him as they kissed.
In the salon, Will came to help Electra set up for a photo shoot. Given his schooling, she wondered if Will was overqualified as an intern, but he thought everyone needed to start somewhere. Electra was glad, as she didn’t plan on going anywhere soon.
Electra said that she didn’t like the way things were left with Remy, so she texted him. She hoped they could all hang out and Will could see his good side. She confirmed that they had never dated but noted that he was a good, supportive friend but sensitive. Electra said she would feel bad if she did anything to hurt his feelings.
Will thought it was strange that Remy hadn’t responded to her text yet. Electra shrugged it off as Remy being a loner. She said they were both nerds in high school, but Will couldn’t see how that was remotely possible. She told him how jewelry was also about science. Will noted she was beautiful and smart. Electra said that Remy liked computer science and he was there for her during a difficult time. Electra added it was behind her, but she didn’t know what she would have done without Remy’s support.
At Il Giardino, Remy was lost in thought, thinking about how he’d altered Electra’s pictures. Sheila noted that he looked intense and asked if there was anything he wanted to talk about.
Remy said he was just checking in on a friend and was concerned when people post everything about them online. Sheila told him that Deacon didn’t like slackers and that he should get back to work. After Sheila walked away, Remy went back to looking at his phone.
Crying, Remy stormed off to his apartment. He recalled when he was at the salon and how Electra told him they were only friends, Will pushed him away, and Electra asked him not to hang out at her work. Remy went on his computer and looked at photos of Electra. “Say goodbye to Will,” he mused.
In the design office, Katie thought about Remy’s email. Brooke came in and said she didn’t sleep well, hoping Ridge would come home after cooling off. She had faith that things would work out after some time. Katie told her she could come to her about anything. “I’m a Logan, and we take care of our own,” Katie added.
Brooke asked what Katie wanted to see her about, so Katie said there was something she needed to show her. Katie explained that she got an email from an anonymous source, and showed her the photos. Brooke was shocked that Electra wasn’t sweet and innocent like they thought. They agreed they couldn’t afford the negative scandal with everything else going on.
Ivy came into the design office when Katie summoned her. She asked if it was about Hope and Carter, but Katie revealed that she wanted to talk about Electra. “We’re going to have to let her go from Forrester,” Katie said.
Ivy had no idea what problem they could possibly have with Electra, as her work was great. Katie tried saying that Electra just wasn’t a good fit for the company, but Ivy wasn’t buying it. Electra came in and was shocked as Katie told her, “We’re going to have to let you go from Forrester.”
